Dustin Keller scores twice in under two minutes

Dustin Keller and the Jets have broken things wide open in Buffalo.

Keller caught a pair of touchdown passes 93 seconds apart to take the Jets from a 17-7 lead to a 31-7 bulge in the third quarter. His first score came on a Wildcat snap to former college quarterback Brad Smith who rolled right and then found Keller in the back of the end zone.

Marshawn Lynch fumbled on the first Bills play, Jason Taylor recovered and the Jets wasted little time stuffing the ball into the end zone once again. Shonn Greene ran twice for 21 yards and then Mark Sanchez found his favorite target to open up what’s looking like an insurmountable lead for the Jets after a first half filled with fits and starts.

The only bad news for New York is that defensive end Shaun Ellis left the game with a knee injury following a sack of Ryan Fitzpatrick. His return is questionable and grows less likely as the Jets lead grows.

UPDATE: Things are getting worse for Chan Gailey’s gang. The Bills punted following the second Keller touchdown and LaDainian Tomlinson just scored for the second time this afternoon to push the Jets lead to 31 points.
