Packers piling it on the Lions

The Packers running game still isn’t in evidence, but it isn’t hurting the offense one bit.

Aaron Rodgers fired his third touchdown pass of the first half to Greg Jennings in the second quarter at Lambeau Field to put the Pack ahead 21-7 with more than half a quarter to play before the break. The touchdown was set up by a long completion to Donald Driver on the previous play that came about thanks to a busted coverage in the Lions secondary.

Rodgers’ first touchdown of the day went to Driver and number two was to Jermichael Finley. Rodgers is 8-of-9 for 131 yards overall.

Shaun Hill has put up some big numbers through the air himself. He’s 18-of-22 for 193 yards and a touchdown, but he’s thrown a pick and Jahvid Best lost a fumble to help dig a deep hole for the visitors.
