Shaun Phillips has a day to remember

The Chargers defense has shown a flair for big games at home.

In their home opener against the Jaguars, they forced six turnovers.  In Sunday’s 41-10 win over the Cardinals, San Diego knocked Derek Anderson out of the game, forced three turnovers, and recorded nine sacks on the day.  (The Giants think: That’s it?)

Shawne Merriman and Larry English’s absence didn’t hurt Shaun Phillips’ production. He recorded four sacks by himself.

Arizona’s offensive tackle play from Levi Brown to Brandon Keith has been abysmal from the start of training camp.  And the Chargers knew how to take advantage.

    You didn’t even mention that Phillip’s had a pick-6.
Also, the Giants are STILL on 6 sacks.

Haters… your tears taste sweet and will flow even more as the Bolts go on a run and end up 11-5 and win yet another AFC West title.

SD offense and defense are ranked #1 in the NFL total yardage. The special teams lost them two games or they could be 4-0. They averaged over 6 yards a carry against ARI and the Raiders gave up almost 10 yards a touch against the Texans. The Chargers should run over the Raiders next week.

    @#7
you’re going to attempt a jab when Charger fans sold twice as much as Raider fans? 32k fans in Oakland marking the 2nd least attended game in NFL history. 78 of Oaklands 122 games have been blacked out.
So much for Oakland fans, huh?
