Shaun Phillips has a day to remember

The Chargers defense has shown a flair for big games at home.

In their home opener against the Jaguars, they forced six turnovers. In Sunday’s 41-10 win over the Cardinals, San Diego knocked Derek Anderson out of the game, forced three turnovers, and recorded nine sacks on the day. (The Giants think: That’s it?)

Shawne Merriman and Larry English’s absence didn’t hurt Shaun Phillips’ production. He recorded four sacks by himself.

Arizona’s offensive tackle play from Levi Brown to Brandon Keith has been abysmal from the start of training camp. And the Chargers knew how to take advantage.
