T.O. gets his first TD as a Bengal

In his fourth game with the Cincinnati Bengals, Terrell Owens has finally reached the end zone.

Owens got open in the Browns’ secondary during the second quarter today in Cleveland and took a Carson Palmer pass 78 yards for a touchdown. Owens scored so easily that he slowed to a walk before crossing the goal line, eventually coming to a stop and just setting the ball down in the end zone.

After chafing at criticism over his failure to deliver this season, Owens already has three catches for 103 yards, which also makes this his first 100-yard game as a Bengal. UPDATE: Just after we published this, Owens had a 25-yard reception, bringing his total on the day to four catches for 128 yards.

Cleveland and Cincinnati are tied 10-10 late in the first half.

  1. Slowed to a walk? “Eventually” came to a stop? Nah, he never slowed to a walk, he just slowed down his run, he was jogging all the way to the goal line, where he suddenly stopped and put the ball down. From catch to goal line was all of 6 seconds.
Nice catch, nice run, well done. Also love how prominently he’s wearing his pink today – lots of high-visibility places, more than most of the guys on the field.
He’s a good guy. More of a man than the dog-killer the sports media are currently obsessed with.
