Jets make roster moves with Santonio Holmes back

It’s return from suspension day in the NFL!

In Pittsburgh, Ben Roethlisberger can talk to his teammates about football again.  Texans linebacker Brian Cushing can participate in his first regular season practice on Wednesday.  Jets wideout Santonio Holmes is feeling the love from Jets fans upon his return.

Not feeling the love in New York: wide receivers Patrick Turner and David Clowney, who were released by the team on Monday to help make room for Holmes.  The Jets will also re-sign defensive end Howard Green.

The Jets finished their early round robin in the AFC East with three wins, including two on the road.  They’ve taken early control of the division despite all the missed games from Darrelle Revis, Calvin Pace, and Santonio Holmes.

Coach Rex Ryan said after Sunday’s win in Buffalo the Jets expected Revis and Pace back this week.

Clowney being ousted was no surprise ,and the Turner kid was no more than a practice squad guy…I like the move to bring big H.Green back we need the bodies on the DL with Minnesota and AP coming to town ..

Typical Jests fans… declaring themselves “the best team in football” at some point every season (or pre-season) since 1969.
How’s that working out for you guys?

@JoeSixPack – You’ve obviously only met Jets fans on the internet. In real life we’re waiting for the football gods to snap us back to reality. For now though, I’ll say is we’ve looked awesome in 3 out of the 4 games we’ve played (short some serious contributors, btw) and my hopes have never been this high. Which, as I mentioned earlier will make the inevitable fall from grace that much more painful.

For all you non-Jets fans let me translate what the Jets fans wrote
“We’ve sucked for 40 years and are gullible enough to get our hopes up mid season YET again… especially since our genius coach actually WROTE on an ESPN bus, his prediction of making it to the Super Bowl, because he wouldn’t lie, would he?

JoeSixPack, what’s wrong with wanting your team to get into the playoffs and to the Big Game? I think every football fan wants that, no?
Jets fans are long-suffering and deserve to celebrate their team doing so well. Worry about your own team and stop trolling Jets posts, which incidentally proves to us all that the Jets definitely DO matter to YOU!
