Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards thinks he knows why he’s been fined $15,000 in the last five weeks.
“I think they just hate the Vikings,” Edwards said Monday via ESPN 1500. “Me personally, I’m watching games, guys getting holding calls. We watch our tape -- we get held more than anybody, but we don’t get those calls. So, I guess because we’re the outlaws, I guess that’s just how it goes.”
(The NFL doesn’t want any outlaws roping calves either.)
Edwards is appealing his fines, but sounds resigned to what he feels is an unfair process.
“You’re appealing to your parents, because we work for the NFL, and they’re trying to keep money as is, so you know how that goes,” Edwards said.
