When the Philadelphia Eagles travel to San Francisco on Sunday night, quarterback Mike Vick won’t be there.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Vick will not play, due to the rib cartilage injury he suffered on Sunday against the Redskins.
Vick continues to be in significant pain; we reported last night that, even though initial x-rays were negative, Vick was experiencing significant pain, causing sources close to him to fear that he could miss some time.
It remains to be seen whether the Eagles will sign a temporary backup quarterback. The only option behind Kevin Kolb is rookie Mike Kafka.
