Did you even watch what the Ravens D did to Sanchez? How do you think the game would be any different? You can’t win if you can’t SCORE.
The Ravens beat the other two teams in the top 3 ON THE ROAD. This ranking system is a bigger sham than the commentating censorship imposed by NBC.

I think its taught in “media school” that you have to like the Cowboys. (1-2) and they are the highest ranked team in the NFC east. Stop ranking teams off their hype and start ranking off of legitimate wins.
Washington beat the cowpokes and the beagles. I would, in your logic, understand if you put NY over WAS, but to have Dallas above WAS in your rankings is INSANE!!
Stop with the cowboy love!!! I am Sick of the over hype!!!!!!! Let them be 4-0 then talk about them.

Not the the rankings at the beginning of September mean anything, but:
1. Beating the Jets and Steelers both on the road has to mean something. Ravens have proved enough on the field to be #1 thusfar. “If the game is replayed” doesn’t matter, the scoreboard at the end of the actual game does.
2. I’m a Saints fan, and I believe you have the Saints ranked 2 spots too high. I’d rank the Packers and Patriots ahead of them right now. Too many injuries at SS and RB are keeping this team close to the pack in the NFC elite. 2009 is over, this is a new year, and an honest assessment of my team at the 1/4 mark of the
season.
3. I totally agree with the Falcons being the highest ranked team in the NFC thru 4 weeks. Those guys are playing good football. The are smelling what Mike Smith is stepping in.

I know my BUCS are not going to light the league on fire this year but they have have Won two out of three games and I don’t understand how the 2-2 Rams are ranked 7 spots ahead of tampa? we are in a tougher division and have a better record! The Vikings and Cowgirls are 13th and 14th with 1-2 records. There are 12 teams at 2-2 who should be higher rated(well maybe not all but definitely some)! The last two teams I mentioned seem to be evaluated by peoples expectations not they’re play!!!

The Jets don’t want see the Ravens again. Our secondary is money right now…..just wait until our HALL OF FAME SAFETY comes back. Everyone is forgetting about Ed Reed. Our offense will do nothing but get better. We have too many weapons. Its cool though….we will just fly under the radar. Sleep on us if you want. That’s how we like it in B-more

Anyways the #1 team now is clearly the Chiefs 3-0 is that not what sports is about winning? untill they lose they are number 1

as a Jets fan, I wish the Jets would play the Ravens again like right now. The Ravens won because of a ridiculous amount of penalties for 125 yards, many of which penalties were given up in huge situations on defense. if not for rookie kyle wilson getting flagged in the endzone in his first regular season game as a pro, the ravens would’ve had to kick a field goal instead of being set up with 1st and goal on the 1. the field goal even would’ve been long, so at best, the ravens would be tied 6-6, could’ve been 6-3. either way, the jets have been opening up the playbook for sanchez more and more and he’s proving that he can lead this offense. this is the best team in the league, and if you don’t believe it, you’ll see if you’re unlucky enough to have them play your team.

Chiefs have won 13 games the past four years including their 3 this year. Makes the Broncos 26 over that period look pretty good.
There are about 5 good teams, 5 terrible teams, and everyone else is VERY AVERAGE. There are at least two divisions (AFC West, NFC West) where 9 wins gets it done.
Should be three grades, A, C, F.

The Ravens only managed to score 10 points in their loss to the mighty Bengals. Yes, that same Bengals team that proceeded to give up 23 points in losing to the BROWNS.

The Patriots have the 6th “toughest” schedule based on the 2010 “strength of schedule”—i.e., opponents’ 2009 record. If the Pats make the playoffs, then exposure to teams like the Ravens, Chargers, Vikings, Steelers, and Colts can only benefit our young defense.
It’s premature to pronounce Rex Ryan “right.” My expectation is that the Colts, among other teams, could realistically beat the Jets in the playoffs. Despite the loss of Bullitt and Sanders, any rumors of the Colts’ “demise” are greatly exaggerated.

Defense has faced: Derek Anderson/Max Hall, Matt Hasselbeck, David Garrard, & Matt Cassell. Of course they’re going to be ranked #1. Can’t argue with your offense (even though you got to beat up on AZ), they’re good year in & year out.
@ Florio:
Last week you had the TN Titans ranked 4th & the Broncos 24th. The Broncos then beat the Titans IN TENNESSEE, and you raise the Broncos one spot??? I’m not arguing the spot in which you have the Broncos, but only gaining 1 spot by beating a #4 (your rank) team is completely ridiculous. You & your crew really should try WATCHING the games before wasting all of our time with this crap.

Putting the Rams ahead of the Chargers is truly the stupidest thing I have heard from the normally intelligent Florio.
He must have an agenda.
I like the comment too….Call me when you beat an actual NFL team. Well they beat the crap out of the Faguars and the Faguars beat the Colts.
Like I said, he must have an agenda. @#$% must still be sore from hyping the Chargers in prior years only to be let down.

Ranking the Jets after losing at home to the team ranked number two makes no sense. That is not rational, nor intelligent.
For those stating the Jets were a different team and had players missing, Baltimore was missing a HOF Safety. A player that is much more accomplished the Revis through several years.
I don’t like the Steelers, but they are a better team than the Jets. And they will prove it later in the year just as the Ravens already did.

Love the whining by the Chargers fans… Here’s an idea: WIN THE GAMES YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO WIN AND PEOPLE WILL RESPECT YOU. If you shoot yourself in the foot repeatedly people aren’t going to believe you can win when it counts.
The bolts have the save season every year… Suck for 5 or 6 weeks, make a mad dash to make the postseason, then fall apart in the playoffs.
