I wouldn’t be talking about bridges if I were him. That’s not a safe topic in Minnesota anymore.
As for Moss, you guys should improve for sure, but don’t expect his New England numbers with that slightly-less-than-terrible OL.

The best O line in the game, you must’ve overdosed on the purple kool aid.
Hutchinson= best guard in the league. Period.
Herrera= quality but no where near dominate
Sullivan= scrappy, but gets abused by quality nose tackles
Loadholt= has yet to live up to potential, needs to
improve footwork to be taken seriously as a
quality tackle. Too weak against outside speed
rush.
McKinnie= most over rated O lineman in the game, has no
business being a left tackle, is beaten way to
often by a speed rush, rip move to outside
shoulder beats him every time.
Bottom line is this line has gotten too much credit for very inadequate play, run blocking is merely average at best and is made to look better than it is by the best RB in the league. Pass blocking especially against the blitz is hurt heavily by the absence of Chester Taylor and must improve, good news is all the weapons are now on board to take pressure off this line, so things can only improve.

If Brad Childress can’t get this Vikings team over the top, then it solidifies his spot as one of the worst coaches in the NFL. Arguably the best Running Back, Wide Receiver, Defensive End and Defensive Tackle(s) all call Minnesota home, coupled with a future Hall of Fame QB at the end of the road, but who enjoyed the finest season of his career last year.
Adrian Peterson and Randy Moss on the same team is beyond lethal. They are unequivocally the best RB-WR combo in the league. Tom Brady & Randy Moss was a frightening duo, but All Day and the Freak is even scarier.

Before all you idiots start talking crap, read this. This is the real reason Moss was traded initially and is now back in MN. It’s not about money with Randy. He’s back home where he belongs, and where he always wanted to be. He never wanted out of MN. The only reason he was traded out of MN was because the previous owner, Red McCombs, was in the process of selling the team. McCombs (a San Antonio native) didn’t get a new stadium, so he screwed MN on the way out by dumping Moss, which also saved him some money. The buyer and current Vikings owner, Zygi Wilf, had told McCombs NOT to do this…but he did anyway. Wilf was livid!!! But he still went through with the transaction and bought the team.

My advice to Minnesota. Sign Moss to an extension. This trade has sparked national interest. The spotlight on Moss on Monday night on Revis Island will be blinding. But Moss is good enough to get through that, score a couple and get, say, 148 yds and if Minn does not have a contract ready the next morning, well, let’s just say his festering wound suffered from not getting love in NE isn’t healed yet. The whole problem in New England with Moss is all because of a contract. If they think Moss being traded is going to make him happy without an extension, the vikings are dumber than i thought.
If he doesn’t get an extension, you will hear him all season long and he will quit on you.
Fact is, next season is uncertain and right now Moss does not have a paycheck comming in next year and he wants the world to know about it.
Give him an extension Minny ($10 million a year is his asking price) or he won’t play hard.
I’m a Patriots fan and Moss exfan sadly. We supported him all the way, but all he wants is his deal so he is no longer our problem.

Moss now has something to prove regardless of the contract situation. If he plays well, he’ll get some dough after the season either way. He’s made a ton of dough, but has no ring. Why would he want to singn a contract extension now and stick around in MN in 2011 if there’s no assurance he’ll have a QB to even get him to the playoffs? If the Moss is a problem, it won’t be contract related, it will be because the team is losing and/or not getting him the ball enough.
Then again, with Favre’s free lancing ways, Moss’s route alteration, and Klink’s offensive inflexibility, Klink will probably be in treatment by week 13.

bottom line tho: vikes lose their top wr for half the season, pckers lose their (only real) rb for the season. vikes go out and trade a 3rd round pick for a pro bowl wr so they can return a passing game to a team that already features the nfc’s best running game and lowest pts against defense.
and ted thompson passes up on a 24 year old former pro bowl rb for a 4th round pick, dooming the pckers to a season where they will continue to have to do nothing but passes and have defenses do nothing but tee off on aaron rodgers.
aaron rodgers wanted lynch, charles woodson was just quoted as saying adding lynch would be the “logical move” but ted clings to his tightwad ways and dooms the pckrs to a 6th year of irrelevancy under his watch.
thank god the vikes have a real g.m.
