Moss has faced every team except the Vikings

Here’s an interesting factoid regarding the return of Randy Moss to Minnesota.

In 12 NFL seasons, he has faced every team, except the Vikings.

Moss was scheduled to return to the Metrodome in 2007 as a member of the Raiders, but he was traded to the Patriots on draft weekend.

This year, his Patriots are due to host the Vikings on October 31.  And in what will appear to be a strange Halloween trick, Moss will be at the game, in a white-and-purple costume.

  1. Now he has to face the Jets who will injure Favre and face TJax who cannot throw anything but a jump pass. I guess it’s back to square 1 for the Vikes.

  2. I wonder what Tom Brady, the golden princess with the ‘booty-chin’, thinks about all this? Get Brady’s quote, PFT.

  3. This is only fitting! Moss put the Vikings back on the national radar back in 1998 so it’s only fitting he come back home – this factoid only adds to his Minnesota legacy.
Yes he had some rough patches in Minny, but Vikings fans have always loved and been appreciative for the excitement Moss brought to the franchise.
Yes, Randy had a few good years in New England, but most my memories of him come from those first 5 years in Minnesota.
Miami may have the big-3 with LeBron, Wade and Bosch. But Minnesota has their own big-3 with Moss, Peterson and Favre. Hell, throw in Jared Allen and let’s just call it a big-4!

You are quite easily the biggest putz on this site.

  5. Who is the QB in Minnesota next year? Donovan Mcnabb, Kevin Kolb, or Michael Vick? Mcnabb and Vick are in contract years.

  6. Anyone know – will Moss potentially be the first player to play in 17 regular season games?

mcnbabb. he wanted to be traded to the vikes in the first place, he has no decent w.r.’s in wash., the vikes are stacked and just got more stacked.

  8. thought they played raiders in a pre season
game the year the vikes traded him…not
    that that would count

  9. vikings will beat the jets and moss will have two TD’s..
and then suddenly I woke up wondering what if it was real?

  10. @SuperBowlorBust
Definitely not. Will Witherspoon played 17 games last season. Many others have also.

  11. Vikes need to take adavantage of Favre’s last year. I wonder how long Moss’s contract runs?

  12. Typical Minnesota fan reactions here.
2007: “We got Adrian Peterson in the draft?! SUPERBOWL BABY!”
2008: “We got Bernard Berrian?! SUPERBOWL BABY!”
2009: “We got Brett Favre?! SUPERBOWL BABY!”
2010: “We got Randy Moss back?! SUPERBOWL BABY!”
The only problem is, there has been NO SUPERBOWL APPEARANCE BY THE VIKINGS BABY!
