Darrelle Revis unsure if he’ll play next week

Number 24 was back on the field for the Jets Monday night, but this wasn’t the usual Darrelle Revis.

Shadowing Percy Harvin for much of the night, Revis looked rusty. Or perhaps just hurt.

“Right now, it’s very sore and very swollen,” said Revis about his hamstring after the game via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “I could tell my hamstring was hurting. . . . Some plays it would hurt and some plays it wouldn’t. It started in the first quarter. For me, it was just fighting through it.”

Antonio Cromartie handled Randy Moss all night, and the Jets didn’t need to send double teams Moss’ way. If anything, Revis could have used a little help. He gave up a 34-yard score to Harvin. On the play before Dwight Lowery’s game-winning pick six, Revis ended up on the turf. Brett Favre overthrew Harvin.

Revis didn’t sound sure if he’ll play next week against the Broncos.

“I don’t know,” Revis said. “As of right now, we’re going to take it day by day like we’ve been doing and see how it goes. . . . I have to get back to 100 percent. When that happens, I can play the type of ball that I can play.”
