LaRon Landry, Stefan Logan named NFC players of the week

Redskins safety LaRon Landry and Lions kick returner Stefan Logan have been named NFC players of the week for their efforts on Sunday.

Landry was named defensive player of the week after registering 13 tackles and causing two turnovers in the Redskins’ 16-13 win over the Packers. Landry forced a fumble on the Packers’ first series and intercepted a pass on the Packers’ last series.

This is Landry’s first career player of the week award. He currently leads the league with 41 total tackles.

Logan had a 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Lions’ 44-6 win over the Rams, which ties him with Terry Fair for the longest in team history. He also had 24 yards on two punt returns.

As we previously noted, Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman was named the NFC offensive player of the week.
