The eagles did have Vick, but the skin’s defense injured him just as they have done to other players this season. Plus, I’m pretty sure that Vick’s replacement (Kolb) is a starting calibre QB so your opinion is unfounded there bud.
I’m guessing you didn’t watch the Rams game, the Skins were struck with the fumble bug during that game. It’s pretty hard to win when turnovers (two fumbles) create 14 points for the opposing team within the first 5 minutes of the game. If the Rams end up playing your team this year, I’m sure you’ll change your tone.
Your earlier comment about Landry’s tackle count would normally make sense, but the man is playing on the line 80% of the time…it really seems like you are just talking out of your ass.

@ocho oh i forgot you throw out stats when your teams loses…
and the teams the skins beat offensive ranks: GB 12th, eagles 8th (but they didnt have vick for that game) and dallas 2nd (but they are a terrible team, they just get yards).

I am from Louisiana (obviously) and there are more players in the NFL from Louisiana on a per capita basis. Laron Landry is not one of the better ones. He is physically gifted but all he can do is hit hard. He is constantly exploited in the secondary and takes bad angles more often than not.

That ranking comes mainly from their 2 losses. Granted I wouldnt go so far as to call Landry the best defensive player in the league, but give props when they are due…

hahaha are you kidding me???? so the best defensive player plays safety for the 30th ranked pass defense, which is also dead last is overall defense.
1) he’s playing more like a lb than db
2) last in yardage, 9th in points given up – ill take that

Landry was a killer at LSU, where the SEC always plays the hardest hitting, fastest defense in college ball. So it’s no surprise that he’s doing so well in the NFL. Still hate the Skins, though.

hahaha are you kidding me???? so the best defensive player plays safety for the 30th ranked pass defense, which is also dead last is overall defense. if he is so good they wouldnt be last in the league in defense and 3rd to last in pass defense. get a clue man. guy is basically blowing coverage to make tackles.

Good for Logan. He seems to be a guy who works hard and just needed someone to give him a chance. I liked him when he was on the Steelers and he always looked great in camp, but unfortunately, he never seemed to get that chance to run one back in the regular season. I’m glad to see that he’s doing it now.

Where’s Landry in PFT Daily’s discussion of defensive MVP?
Also, all the negative comments above are fairly off base. The front 7 has been less than stellar at stopping the run, but Landry has been an absolute beast, and his lead leading tackle total has more to do with him being all over the field than making tackles 15 yards down field. He is rushing the passer or in the box most plays.
Also, not a single Redskin fan was willing to give up on Landry after last year. Anyone with a brain knew he has been playing out of position since Sean Taylor’s passing.

Landry has been a top 5 safety in football this year. And his tackles haven’t even been on plays broken into the secondary. He’s been a missile out there. Playing him at FS was dumb, at SS he’s all pro caliber.

This is all coaching. Put Dirty 30 at free safety some 30 yards off the ball and he’s Double Move 30. Put him in a roaming position where his biceps can take down running backs just by looking at them and he’s good ole Dirty 30.

The scheme and the staff should share in the award. He’s been playing Dawkins’ like. It’s sure fun to see.
One can only envision what Gibbs had in mind when he was drafted to be paired up with the late Sean Taylor.

Landry is killing it now that he is back at his natural position. And he has finally stopped leaving his feet when trying to make the big hit and thats helping a lot as well.
