Michael Irvin proud as reality show winner readies for his call

As one of the 17 people alive that actually watched Michael Irvin’s reality show Fourth and Long, last year I never imagined the winner of the show would actually made an impact with a Cowboys.

Wide receiver Jesse Holley has spent the last season and four games on the team’s practice squad, and it looks like he’s getting his call up to the big team.

DallasCowboys.com and ESPNDallas.com both say Holley is expected to be signed to the active roster this week, largely for his special teams skills.

“He’s a hard working guy,” Irvin told Calvin Watkins. “Even doing the show, we had guys who did well, but when I was trying to find the right guy, [who] fit the situation, not physically gifted, but fit a situation. The way he practices is always good. That’s how he’s earned coach [Wade] Phillips’ respect.”

It looks like the Cowboys will have Holley active Sunday in hopes of improving their kick coverage.
