Some teammates say Big Ben looks “better than ever”

A quarterback-dominated Notre Dame halftime report on NBC from Peter King, Jimmy Roberts, and a certain Internet hack with whom you may be familiar included a nugget of news from said Internet hack.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has impressed his teammates with his performance upon returning from a four-game suspension, a league source tells PFT. Roethlisberger had a strong training camp; per the source, the thinking is that he now looks even better than he did during camp.

Indeed, some players think that Ben looks better than ever.

Peter King attributes the uptick to the fact that Roethlisberger spent the four weeks working on his mechanics with quarterbacks coach George Whitfield. As Peter pointed out, few if any quarterbacks focus on the basics once the season begins.

To top it all off, Roethlisberger returns genuinely at 100 percent, not the inherently nicked-up version of 100 percent that many players experience after a month’s worth of games.

It all adds up to a big return from Big Ben, and a long day for the Cleveland Browns.
