Vick is expected to be No. 3 on Sunday

We dropped another new chunk of information during the halftime segment of the (western) Michigan-Notre Dame game. Eagles coach Andy Reid said Friday that quarterback Kevin Kolb will start against the Falcons. The fact that Vick took only limited practice reps this week reinforces that view.

But with Vick listed as questionable, the question is whether he’ll be No. 2 or No. 3 on the depth chart. Vick is expected, we’re told, to be the third man, which means that he most likely won’t play.

Each team can designate an emergency quarterback above the 45-man roster, but the emergency quarterback’s ability to enter the game is restricted. Before the fourth quarter, if the emergency quarterback plays, the other quarterbacks can’t return.

That said, Vick surely wants to play against his former team -- and the Eagles surely could use him.
