Jaguars trade Anthony Smith to Packers

The Green Bay Packers apparently decided after today’s loss to the Miami Dolphins that they need to improve their secondary. And they’ve acted quickly to make it happen.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Packers have acquired safety Anthony Smith in a trade with the Jaguars.

The Packers have been incredibly thin in the secondary since losing safety Morgan Burnett for the season to a torn ACL two weeks ago.

Smith has started three games for the Jaguars this season and was expected to start for them on Monday night. Instead he’ll pack his bags and head north.
