Locos lose Rattay for the season

When it comes to injury news, Sundays aren’t exclusively owned by the NFL.

The UFL has announced that Las Vegas Locos quarterback Tim Rattay has been placed on injured reserve after suffering an Achilles injury during a 26-3 win over the Sacramento Mountain Lions on Friday.

“I really feel bad for Tim, it’s very unfortunate to rupture your Achilles tendon,” coach Jim Fassel said. “Tim has done an outstanding job for us. Obviously any time you lose a player of his caliber, especially your quarterback, it can affect the team.”

Drew Willy and Chase Clement are the other quarterbacks currently on the roster. And if you’ve never heard of them, it’s safe to say the name Russ Michna, who’ll be joining the team as the third quarterback, rings fewer bells than Quasimodo with two broken arms.
