Roethlisberger gives himself a B-minus or C-plus in his return

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger returned to the NFL today after a four-game suspension for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. Though he threw three touchdown passes (and one interception) in a 28-10 victory over the Browns, Roethlisberger gave himself a B-minus or a C-plus, according to Peter King of Sports Illustrated and NBC.

“I left a lot of plays out there on the field today,” Roethlisberger told King.

Roethlisberger also said that, during the national anthem, he became emotional because he realized how much his parents had been through because of his actions. Roethlisberger said that he knew he had to go out and play for his parents as well as for himself.

The 4-1 Steelers travel to Miami next weekend for a showdown against the Dolphins. Following that, they head to New Orleans for a prime-time Halloween game against the Saints.

Though Roethlisberger was celebrated in his first game at Pittsburgh, we can only imagine the costumes that some of the folks in the Superdome will be wearing.
