Tom Brady on Ravens: "They talk a lot for one win in nine years"

New England’s 23-20 comeback overtime victory over the Ravens wasn’t enough to get to Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs to stop talking.

After the loss, Suggs said that Tom Brady “made some plays . . . But like I said, he just better hope he don’t see us again.”

At one point in the game, Brady and Suggs were seen jawing after a hit on Brady.  Suggs was asked what the two men talked about:

“He was trying to tell me how to bag a Hollywood actress,” Suggs said via the Boston Herald. “He
said, ‘If you want to get a Hollywood actress, take my seminar on
Saturday.’ …He was going over the Dow and the economy and politics. He
doesn’t really talk football that much.”

Suggs’ answer was pretty funny, but Brady didn’t sound overly amused on his Monday morning appearance on WEEI.

“Well, he had his chance so maybe if he gets another chance he can try
to back those words up,” Brady said in comments transcribed by the Boston Globe.  “We play those guys a lot and they’ve only beat
us once . . . they talk a lot for only beating us once in nine years.”

The win kept a 23-game regular season winning streak at home alive for Brady.  He passed John Elway for the second longest streak.  Brett Favre has a 25-game streak from 1995-1998.

UPDATE: We checked Brady’s math and he’s right about the one loss. New England is 4-1 against Baltimore in the last nine years, with all but one of the games in the last four seasons.

Hey, Tom. We all know you are Mr. American Pie – how did it feel to lose that one time to New York in the Super Bowl? They only beat you once in the last however many years.
    Punk ass.

  2. tatum32 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:35 AM

Brady doesnt seem to understand that the Ravens just dont give a f$%k. They will destroy him, and not care about the penalty or the fine….i mean does he want to keep playing …B.Pollard ended him for a season….always best to ignore the trash talk…this is a defense that does its film work – they didnt punk them in the playoffs for no reason.

  3. 2MuchTime says: Oct 18, 2010 10:36 AM

That was funny, once in 9 years. Suggs is just one of those guys that tries to get inside your head.
It was a good game and I would like to go to that seminar.

  4. nps6724 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:36 AM

As much as the Pats come off as d-bags, Brady’s right. The Ravens talk way too much in general, but 1 win in 9 years should keep you quiet for at least this game.

  5. kravon says: Oct 18, 2010 10:38 AM

    True that Tommy.
Slowly but surely that Ravens secondary will be exposed.

This goes back to the time Suggs took a run at Brady’s repaired knee and got flagged for it. The murderer and the rest of the Ravens whined like babies after the loss. Besides the Colts these are the biggest moaners and complainers in the league. They haven’t lost a game in the past ten years where it wasn’t the refs fault.

  7. steeler560 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:39 AM

Hate them both but Brady isn’t a punk, you could see Suggs yapping at Brady all day long. Suggs should take a page from Ray Lewis book and just play the game and let your play do the talking. Shut up and play, trash talking, especially from the loser is embarrassing!

  8. ejtowne says: Oct 18, 2010 10:41 AM

I hope Suggs takes Bradys mop head off the next time they play. Hopefully, we will see these two in the playoffs this year. Not a Pats fan, not a Ravens fan but i do hate Tom Brady. Go Bills!!

  9. Richm2257 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:41 AM

    Hey Suggs: Scoreboard!
Brady was on the money about these guys. Everyone thinks they’re the cream of the AFC year after year. If there was a Super Bowl for thinking too much of yourselves, the Ravens would have ten rings.
Suggs went home and looked at his wife, and said “damn, I wish Brady WOULD run a seminar on bagging Hollywood actresses!”

  10. rickah88888 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:41 AM

Much like the NY Jets, the Baltimore Ravens largely consist of thugs…thusly the result you are reading about above: Sore losers = attempt at trash talk. Pathetic!

I hate to say it but tommy bieber has it right. all games have been close except for the ravens win but for the most part he has owned the ravens.

  12. GP221 says: Oct 18, 2010 10:47 AM

Brady’s talking like the Pats play the Ravens twice a year – like the Pats have steamrolled the Ravens in all four of their wins. There’s a blatant lack of respect going on from both sides – should make for a great rematch in the playoffs.

  13. southFLAsteel says: Oct 18, 2010 10:51 AM

Yes Tom, they certainly do “talk” alot. “Talk” is almost all they have to hold on to. Don’t deprive them of their “talk”.
They’ve done it for so long, “talk” is the one thing they’re really good at. Don’t hate them for ALL the “talk”, they’ll still be “talking” 30 years from now. It’s what they do, SEE???

  14. PFTiswhatitis says: Oct 18, 2010 10:52 AM

I suspect that if these two teams meet again later this year, it will not be as close a contest. The Pats D is improving weekly and I just dont see the Offense starting as slow as they did yesterday again.
Baltimore should get a QB and stop being so conservative. They have the WR’s and the rest of the puzzle too. But yesterday when things got tight they played right into the Pats hands. A decent QB that they have faith in would make it easier to try more vertical plays and that would have won the game.

  15. XLI says: Oct 18, 2010 10:53 AM

Did Suggs ask Brady about what Gisele was doing face to face with another guy in Paris a few weeks ago? “An old friend”… ha, yeah right.

Tyrell, save your money. For $200 and a new shovel, I’ll show you how to bag Bea Arthur.

  17. benjaminbreeg says: Oct 18, 2010 10:58 AM

Brady is right, but Suggs answer was kind of funny.
tatum32’s comments are freakin stupid. Would Brady be where he is if was going to get intimidated by a punk like Suggs. Most people would. Brady ain’t most people, is he??

  18. jvw says: Oct 18, 2010 11:00 AM

I hate the Pats, but Brady is right……STFU Suggs until you beat them more than once in 9 years……considering they had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, the Ravens Defense should hang there head in shame instead of talk shit……The Pats are not that good this yr, just goes to show how good a coach Belicheat really is……

  19. Christmas Ape says: Oct 18, 2010 11:01 AM

Man, I wonder what their playoff records are head-to-head in those nine years?
This sounds like the same sh*t talk from Brady when he laughed off Plaxico Burress saying they would ‘only’ score 17 points in the Super Bowl.
Brady should probably keep his mouth shut. These teams will probably meet again in the playoffs, and the Ravens will most likely have Ed Reed.

  20. FearGunner says: Oct 18, 2010 11:03 AM

It would behoove the Ravens to think about what they’ve accomplished before they run their mouths.
Hell, Peyton Hills put 200 yards up on you dude.

  21. r8rsfan says: Oct 18, 2010 11:03 AM

Now that is some funny stuff right there. Kudo’s to Suggs for not worrying about the political correctness of his comments and just speaking his mind. Sounds like sour grapes, but still comical. Any team that relies on Chris Carr and Fabian Washington to make plays defensively is going to regret it. FW is nothing but an over-rated poser.

  22. Ravenmaniac says: Oct 18, 2010 11:04 AM

What failed to be recognized is before Suggs and Brady were jawing…Brady was pounding on the ground like a baby because he did not get a penalty for being hit…..take off the dress tom!! Kind of like your wife did for that guy in the picture that had his tongue in her mouth last week…..

  23. smithopher says: Oct 18, 2010 11:05 AM

rickah88888 – Jets are sore losers? I’m pretty sure they’ve won 5 straight games, I don’t think we know how they’ll act if they happen to lose one.
Brady is right though, the Patriots 4-1 against the Ravens gives the Ravens little right to talk smack. The Ravens always play them tough though, last year in Baltimore they got robbed on a few calls and this one was OT. I hope we do see that in the playoffs though, that’d be exciting.

  24. bozzy19 says: Oct 18, 2010 11:06 AM

That 23 game home regular season winning streak is impressive until you realize they got blown out at home in the playoffs last year. Kind of a tallest midget thing after you realize that.

  25. crazyraven12 says: Oct 18, 2010 11:07 AM

From a die-hard Ravens fan…I agree with Brady in that the Ravens can’t seem to bring their ‘A’ game against the Pats, except for once.
But sadly, Tommy-B, that once was during the part of football season that means the most…the playoffs.
Weird how Brady has usually been quiet about the Ravens, giving them their due at times, but now is mouthing off after squeaking out a win…where Cam Cameron basically gave the Pats every chance they needed to pull out a ‘W’.
Fresh off a beat-down in the playoffs just a year ago, where yes..the ravens scored more points in the 1st quarter than in this whole game, i don’t think the ravens are a team you want to stir up about a squeaked out OT win during the regular season.

    ———————————————
    A) How many other teams have even been in position to take the shot at 19-0?
    B) Why bring up something that happened 4 years ago? Do you not have any new material to cling to?
Terrell Suggs talks shit and no one says a word. Brady responds and everyone can’t get on this site fast enough to make fun of him. Hey, guess what. He’s a 3 time Super Bowl champion, a Super Bowl and regular season MVP, he’s the richest QB in NFL history, and he’s got a supermodel for a wife. Trust me, haters…Tom Brady does not give a F*CK what you think.

Ray Lewis: “If we see them in the playoffs, we will be ready again.”
Suggs: “Like I said, he [Brady] just better hope that he doesn’t see us again.”
Tough talk from two sore losers.
And here is another sore loser: One Ravens defensive back, apparently frustrated by hearing questions about Tom Brady and the Patriots, left the locker room grumbling about how the Pats played their best possible game coming off a bye week.
At least their excuse this time isn’t the refs.
And in Baltimore, after the loss, the city was empty. All the fans went home to cry. My Steelers friends and I left the bar and I was really hoping to return the favor and call the Ravens losers–but nary a Ravens fan was to be found. The fans are sore losers, too.

suggs is a moron, the ravens got beat and the pats played one of thier sloppiest games in years. they had an above average day of penalties, a ton of dropped passes, and a rookie defense that is still trying to find itself. ray lewis said that the pats had to play thier best football to get that win LMAO!!!!!
suggs is almost as dumb as the first post by marktg30. hey moron the giants and pats have played three times in the last nine years, with the pats winning 2 of the three and those teams are in different conferences so of course they play less.
pats 6-1 against the ravens all time, let suggs run his mouth all day

An ugly, embarrassing 0-1. At home. Your own fans booing you, and leaving in droves by the 3rd quarter.

You people can say “once in 9 years” to try and make it sound better…. but it’s once in 5 games. And two of those games came in the same year.
In 2007, the Ravens DID beat the Patriots… but the officials took control of the game, as the NFL had mandated they keep the undefeated season alive. until the Super Bowl.
I give Brady his props… he went on to score the game winning touchdown. But the Ravens offense is ridiculous. Every single running play was straight up the middle. They didn’t call a run to the outside all game… and even when Ray Rice had the chance to break it to the outside… he decided not to, and instead… run straight into a Patriot linebacker any chance he could.

So now people not only shouldn’t talk trash to the Ravens, they shouldn’t respond in any way after a Raven talks trash about them? After they beat them?
Who the hell are these guys, the mafia?
Actually, the Ravens are the perfect team to stir up.
Angry Raven thugs + Revenge + Trash talk + Extra vigilant refs = lots and lots of stupid Raven penalties in a playoff game.

  37. Evan2442 says: Oct 18, 2010 11:28 AM

From the Ravens fan perspective, I agree Suggs talks too much, but all these guys talk, it’s really not a big deal. But to say the Pats own the Ravens is quite a farce. Remember, the Ravens were winning by 10 in the 4th quarter (yes they blew it hardcore) so you can’t sit here and say the Pats own the Raven over the last decade. Not to mention the playoff loss was a BLOWOUT and the loss earlier in 09, the Ravens were marching down the field and lost the game because of one dropped catch. It’s easy to say SCOREBOARD! and just look at wins and losses, but the truth is these teams are about as evenly matched as two of the best in the AFC and the Pats made more plays and the Ravens made too many mistakes in the end. The biggest of which in my opinion, was around the 7:30 mark in the 4th, Ravens had 3 and 1 and decided to do a QB sneak. You have Pro Bowl FB McClain, give him the ball! Then if you don’t get it, go for it on 4th and inches! They punted and of course, the Pats go down the field. The Ravens play too conservatively and rely way too much on a D that isn’t the same as it used to be.

Lets not forget the Patriots were down 10 points in the 4th quarter. So the fact that they made up 10 points against that defense then win it in overtime is pretty good.
I bet the Steelers would have been happy with an OT win when they played the Ravens earlier this year.
Not to mention the Patriots did the Steelers a favor by beating the Ravens.

It amazes me how some of you can write what you do and not look at it and see how ignorant you are. Baltimore had the opportunity to take Tom’s head off plenty of times and did no such thing. Give the Pats credit where credit is due. Some of you are growing up. That’s great. Some of you still act like the kid taking his ball and going home. No class

Biggest load of BS ever. That 2007 game was horribly officiated against the Pats. Thh ravens D was all over the receivers the entire game and nothing was called. The holding call was a hold, and your coach called the time out on the 4th and 1 and you lost.
Amazing that Raven fans would actually sit there and say we won the 1 game that matters…this is the NFL every game matters…

Leave it to loser Ravens fans to brag about playoff wins with no Super Bowl at the end of them.
Since your one SB win, the Pats turned around and won 3. Why be surprised that you lost when your other loss was to the Bengals (again)? You pat yourselves on the back for beating the Steelers 4th QB then act like the playoffs are tomorrow – the Ravens are overrated.
Really, quit being such stupid, sore losers. If winning playoff games without winning a Super Bowl at the end of them is “good enough”, McNabb would still be in Philadelphia.

Talking about brady pounding on the ground , and LAST YEARS playoffs , Pats played like garbage all first half , made the adjustments in the second half , and your old thug defense lost you the game , not to mention flaaco folds when it counts . Maybe suggs can join ray lewis along his next murder conquest , at least ray has learned to keep his mouth shut for once . Look at that d bag in his old spice commercials , with lil wings on flapping like an angel , thats an embarrassment to the ravens organization . Ravens you just choked on a fat D . Pats handed you the game in OT . And what happens ? That young defense stops you . Ice cold . Man i love the haters . Rebuilding a defense on the fly and still winning . Ravens are trash . Maybe one year left with that decent defense . All old . Enjoy ravens fans . HAHA

Tom Brady is a great QB, but he is also a whining little girl. Every time he gets touched he looks up to the ref as if he had an evening out with Ben Rapistburger.
The Pats won. Give them their props. But they also got their asses handed to them by our team in the playoffs and in their home stadium. Brady is acting like this was some beatdown.
The Pats won in thier home field, in overtime after Cam Cameron went to sleep and our idiot DC continue to play 3 rush and 8 drop into coverage watching Brady do what he does best.
This loss from our perspective goes on our coordinators and head coach. No other way to say it. So Brady can talk all he likes. He won, but let you heart not be troubled, we will rise again.

Bradys hair is just epic. Theres no way in hell a grown man with any type of balls would feel good with that bieber queer cut. giselle is clearly behind that look. Solid Tom. Anyway Didn’t the ravens win when it counted last year just literally pounded the shit out of the pats in the playoffs? I think suggs said something like ” hey tom did you see those pictures of your wife kissing that guy at that fashion show?” And Tom was Like ” Hell yeah i saw them but what the hell can I do about it? Haven’t you seen my haircut?”

  48. Punt Intended says: Oct 18, 2010 11:53 AM

I love Ravens fans talking about beating the Pats in the playoffs last year, as if they didn’t turn around and get torched in the 2nd round by the Colts….at least the Patriots made for a game vs. the Ravens in the first round. Save an atrocious 1st quarter, the Patriots outplayed the Ravens. The Ravens can’t say the same for their next match-up vs. the Colts
The best part is how the Pats offense produced more, the defense held the Ravens to less yards, and the Pats engineered a 4th quarter comeback victory.
Ravens better worry about continuing to win before they talk about making the playoffs…. Miami sits a win back with one less played, Indy and Houston have matching records… they might want to focus on Week7 and not Tom Brady…

  49. somesome says: Oct 18, 2010 11:53 AM

I though the game was great, nail biter ’til the end.
Ravens were too conservative and took the foot of the pedal.
We traded what 4-5 punts in OT???? What are the Pat fans cheering about???? You barely won a coin toss at home.
Have you seen P. Kings rankings this week? That puts it in perspective:
    The Fine 15
    1. Pittsburgh (4-1). There were some rough moments, and Roethlisberger threw a very poor early interception, but the way he spread it around (TD throws to Mike Wallace, Heath Miller and Hines Ward) and kept the running game going are great long-term signs for the Steelers.
    2. Baltimore (4-2). The Ravens have played six games, four on the road. Road results: Lost to 2-3 Cincinnati and 4-1 New England, both games either team could have won. Won at the Steelers and Jets by a total of four points. Most teams won’t play four tougher road games in a full season, and the Ravens have played them by the middle of October.
    3. New York Jets (5-1). Big road win at Denver, with some luck coming from a long pass-interference call on the Broncos in the final two minutes. What I like is how Mark Sanchez came back from his first two interceptions of the year to make enough plays to win at the end.
    4. New England (4-1). This is the team getting jobbed at the top after the best win a team had all day Sunday. The reason I’ve got New England fourth instead of second is because of how I’ve always tried to do these rankings: If New England played Baltimore on a neutral field in Wichita tomorrow, I like the Ravens. Same with the Jets. For now.

The NFL’s implementation of “flag football” style play will be able to be dated back to the 2009 crying of Tommy Bieber on getting hit too much.
You would have thought Tommy Bieber’s lunch money was being taken away when crying to the refs yesterday during a Ngata hit on him. Did anyone else see him smacking the ground crying for a flag?
And don’t get me wrong, Tom is top 5 all -time QB and number 1 on QB’s all -time hottest wife list, but he is starting to sound like a Masshole with the “why us” attitude. He even broke out his attempt of a Masshole accent during the post game press conference.

As for Suggs talking crap, that’s what Ravens do. Ask any NFL player who they’d worry more about pissing off, Suggs or Brady. I bet more than 90% would say Brady. Hate him all you want. The guy is money.

For now.

Ravens will have to battle the Steelers all season for the division but we will be in the post season, no question.
We already won two road games in the AFC. We will meet again.
    ———————
Seriously power rankings, that’s what you are going to come with, one guys OPINION. So what happens when all the other power ranking come out tomorrow and they have the Patriots ahead of the Ravens are you going to change your mind?

  57. steelersmichele says: Oct 18, 2010 12:14 PM

Evan2442. Sorry, but if the Pats have won 8 out of 9 games, I would say they own you. Just like the Pats own us in the playoffs considering how many times they’ve beat us in the AFC championship game.
And it is easy to say SCOREBOARD! You guys said that to us a few weeks ago.
The truth is, it’s only about wins and losses. Win by 30 or win by 3 and it’s still a win. Win with a 4th string QB or win against a 4th string QB and it’s still a W. Just don’t make excuses and own up to the loss.

  58. gabbo529 says: Oct 18, 2010 12:16 PM

First off, Brady is just responding to the ridiculous comment by Suggs that “The Patriots better hope we don’t see them again.”
Brady is the Pats leader, what should he say to that? “Yeah he’s right, I hope we don’t play them.” I’m glad he responded. He’s essentially telling his team, “Don’t let a team like the Ravens bully you around. We beat them…they have no right to run their mouths.”
Brady’s point is the Ravens talk a lot of crap for a team that has barely done anything. They talk like they have our number, but the reality is they’ve beaten the Pats once in nine years. Good teams don’t need to sit around after losing saying “Oh if we get them again..we’re gonna cream ‘em.”
    It should be implied.
All that being said, I like the back and forth. It makes a rematch in January a lot more interesting.

I bet the Steelers would have been happy with an OT win when they played the Ravens earlier this year.
Not to mention the Patriots did the Steelers a favor by beating the Ravens.”
Yes. The Steelers did benefit from the Pats beating the Ravens. And, I wanted New England to win. But, that doesn’t mean Tom Brady isn’t a shmuck.
The Steelers should have beat the Ravens. They had that game won and choked.

  62. Heywood Jablowme says: Oct 18, 2010 12:27 PM

  63. edgarpoe says: Oct 18, 2010 12:29 PM

Brady is an idiot. Why he cannot take an OT win graciously shows his true character. Defensive players are expected to talk trash and intimidate. Anybody intimidated by Brady? I mean, say “Boo!” and he’s off running.
As far as Ravens fans reactions. All the ones I have seen, realized it was a hard fought game, that anyone could have won. It was an OT game for Christ’s sake. Everybody was respectful of New England. Well – except for the crybaby of course. We tivo’d his temper tantrum over and over. Now that was funny.
Still, hats off to the Pats for victory well earned. Brady – if you are going to trash talk AFTER THE GAME IS OVER – at least be sure you won’t be playing them again. It could get nasty.

What have you done for me lately? Lately, the Pats beat the Ravens. Last season is in the past, and as others have pointed out, I don’t think the Ravens are sporting their new rings this year….Stop blaming your coordinators for your loss, if they called a bad game yesterday, they’ll probably call more bad games in the future, so unless you think they will be fired before the post season, that’s hardly an argument for a future win. A football team is that, a team, coaches coordinators, players, they all have to work together to get a win. The Ravens obviously didn’t outplay the Pats yesterday, even if the play calls were bad, it’s still up to the players to execute them, which they didn’t in regulation, or the first possession of overtime, or any of the subsequent possessions of overtime, so there is hardly an argument that the Ravens have the better players. Ravens do run their mouths a lot, then their fans get their panties in a bunch when someone responds….

Big deal, 3 rings.. 1 he shouldn’t about that game with Oakland in the snow. The other 2 he shouldn’t have because of Cheatgate. It’s too bad the league doesn’t strip them of those titles. Cheaters!

I think the bigger story here should be that Flacco picked the Pats secondary apart. For some reason cam cameron forgot how to call plays in the 4th quarter…. The Ravens had every chance to win the game and stunk it up! 4th and inches in the 3rd quarter on the pats side of the field and you punt….. horrible call. When you have a good team on the road down you need to step on there throat when you have the chance and they failed to do that, that is why the Ravens did not win and if they do not get a little more aggressive during the game they will not go far in the play-offs.
Also not being able to get a 1st down on that last drive was horrible!

Hey, to the stupid Steeler fans that commented above,
    1. The Pats did you a favor Sunday.
    2. Before you continue to run your mouth, what have the Pats done to you this past decade……. Oh yeah came into Heinz Field twice for the AFC Championship and sent you packing both times, even once with your precious Ben Roethlisberger.
O and how could I forget they made Hines Ward cry like a baby after the second one! Stupid Wines Hard.

    1) Yes, they did. Thank you, Pats!
    2) That’s about as relevant this season as the Ravens’ playoff victory in New England last season. Pro Tip: It’s not relevant at all.

Suggs is a big fat ugly turd!!!!! He’s just jealous because he can’t grow those lovely locks of hair Brady now has after copying his little brother Justin Beiber’s look!! hahahahaha!
I hate both teams but was so happy to see the Pats take it right away from the Ravens…Next on the sweep the Pats and come knocking on the Ravens door…and it aint to deliver Avon son!!!
Ravens just barely beat us without Ben…can’t wait to play then WITH Ben!!!! Go Steelers!!!
Past is the past folks…today is all that matters!

If you watched the game, you’d be ashamed of Brady living up to his less than masculine persona. It truly was absolutely pathetic on Brady’s part.
Right, while every defensive back, linebacker, offensive lineman, running back et. al. are ruining the game simultaneously. QB’s too. We’re screwed.

  109. curtisq says: Oct 19, 2010 5:02 PM

I love all the people trashing Brady. Sure, the Pats did lose in the playoffs at home at Baltimore. You can all keep pointing out how the pats didn’t win when it counted, last time i checked Brady has 3 rings and Suggs has Zero. So maybe you can talk some $hit once youve won anything important.
Oh and by the way Ravens fans, you can blame all the calls you want on the reffs, but blaming the reffs doesnt win you games.

  110. curtisq says: Oct 19, 2010 5:22 PM

Your are all right. Brady is such a pussy for asking for a penalty. We all know if you try to win a game and a penalty helps you do it, it doesnt count as a real win in the record books and everyone remembers that game as a loss for you. And how much more of a pussy could this guy be?? i mean he asks for the penalty doesnt get it and then decides hes going to talk back to suggs and walk down the field to win the game. What an overrated pussy QB all he does is try to win and then actually goes out and does it sometimes!

they lost in Baltimore because Matt Walsh missed the plane

“Past is the past folks…today is all that matters!” …..well sh*t, then why the hell are YOU wasting your “valuable” time commenting on a past game?
I understand that you’re a Pittsburgh woman, so the obesity and high blood pressure you suffer from is probably preventing you from making logical reasonings…
And remember…….Sure Ben may be back, but so’s Reed…..Reed>Worthlisberger
(But seriously Brady is a pussy, and Cameron/Harbaugh need to take Flacco off the chain….)

  115. Benny Mendenberger-Ward says: Oct 20, 2010 2:13 PM

Lol Ravens fans wish they had “Worthlisberger” I see you like to call the QBs that are better than yours names, but Flacco is on a chain….right….it couldnt be because he isn’t good enough? Flacco cant hold Brady or Ben’s jock.

  116. Evan2442 says: Oct 20, 2010 4:30 PM

@steelermichelle- I am not making excuses for the loss. The article was entitled, “They talk a lot blah blah”…and all I said was Suggs does talk a lot, but to say a team is OWNED, is very silly when in the last three matchups there has been a blowout win by the Ravens (in the playoffs) and two very, very close games, won by the Pats (by a combined what? 7 points or something?all games in Foxborough). That was my point and what I was commenting about, not excusing for the the loss.Yeah, we lost, we all know that. Teams win, teams lose…. The quote by Brady, ” one win in 9 years” is a misnomer because they have only played 5 times in that span and to compare teams from more than three years prior is a ridiculous thing to do because as we all know teams change so vastly year to year. It says it right there in the article: UPDATE: We checked Brady’s math and he’s right about the one loss. New England is 4-1 against Baltimore in the last nine years, with all but one of the games in the last four seasons.

  117. BigFella87 says: Oct 20, 2010 6:03 PM

    @ Benny Mendenberger-Ward
You would respect a pussy and a rapist…….Flacco>Rapistberger anyday.

  118. BCGreg says: Oct 20, 2010 11:25 PM

    @ Evan2442
The Pats played in Baltimore in 2007 with Don Shula cheering the Ravens on in the announcer booth. Disgraceful. Call timeout, Rexie!
Ray Lewis and the Ravens are 0-5 against the Pats in the regular season with losses in 96, 99, 04, 07, 09, and 10. There were two blowouts (99 and 04), one shootout (96), and 3 close games (07, 09, and 10).
The point is have a history of beating someone before you yap! The Ravens have no history in beating the Pats on a consistent basis. OK, they won the playoff game last year. Good for them. The Ravens are the one who couldn’t come through when the Pats were gunning for them in a “revenge” game.
