Giants-Lions one-liners

Giants second-year TE Travis Beckum scored his first career touchdown in the team’s 28-20 win over the Lions in Week Six.
Giants rookie P Matt Dodge’s struggles continued against the Lions Sunday.
Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw gashed Detroit for 82 yards on 11 second-half carries.
The Giants started the game in a two-tight end set, with offensive lineman Shawn Andrews lining up adjacent to left tackle David Diehl in a “help” blocking position.

Playing through a right shoulder injury, Lions WR Calvin Johnson exploited a blown coverage by Giants DBs Terrell Thomas and Antrel Rolle for his 87-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter.

Lions QB Drew Stanton, replacing Shaun Hill at the end of the second quarter, completed three passes for 103 yards to Johnson, including the aforementioned score.
According to Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press, the 2010 Lions are “so close, yet so far away” from being a good team.
Despite the loss, the Lions generated more total yardage than the Giants on Sunday.

How is it that the topic of helmet to helmet hits is discussed, but not 1 single mention of Zach Follett and the hit that sent him to an area hospital on a back board! INFURIATING!

I hope some daring Giants employee placed articles 3 and 8 on top of Kevin Gilbride’s desk this morning.
Andrews has been very valuable at swing tackle. So valuable they actually put him in at left guard and moved Seubert out to swing tackle in the red zone several times yesterday.

jlowe, you’re infuriated by an article of 1-liners? They’re all links to other articles, get over it.
I’m assuming it’s just years of pent-up frustration from being a Lions fan, but jeez man, just let go.

    jlowe
It was a hard clean hit
Your lions are starting to look good and just a few pieces shy of the whole puzzle
The Lions played well other then trying to run the ball up the middle all day the O line kept the D out of the back field for most of the game.
They should handle the vikes and bears with ease
Now onto Matt get out of Dodge this ass clown has to go
He cost us 7 point with his piss poor play
    Get rid of him NOW
And Nitty its not the total yards but what you do with the ones you have.
The Giants D got us good position on every change of the ball so we had fewer yards to travel to score.

If the NFL season ended today, the Giants (4-2) would be the No. 1 seed in the NFC and the Jets (5-1) would be the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

did you not watch the rest of the game? Dodge redeemed himself with good punts, one that even pinned the lions @ the 4 yard line.
the kid is fighting through his problems and doesn’t give up, kudos to him

lucky bounce pinned the lions inside the 5 and what the hell was the refs doing when the giants o-line was holding all game long–according to bitch albom the lions are one fair call (or non call) away from being a good team–even our third string qb ripped them for a score and if they would have called some of the holds the giants suddenly have a real problem hanging with us!!!! ZEBRAS SUCK!!!!

Nothing would make me happier than to see the Jets vs. Giants in SB 45. Jets will / would wreck them!

Note to Cant-Cover Brown: You might want to save bad mouthing our QB until after you win. Also the QB position, last year, and offense was one of the few bright spots, but you knew that from all the times in practice you got beat!

First off Dodge did ok after the what ever it was but the game is not a place to work thru your problems
There are only 16 of them and stupid plays by the guy who has one job KICK THE DAMN BALL can not be allowed
He should be taking snaps and kicking 16 hours a day till he does it with out the bone head mistake
Green as Grass keep dreaming 41 years and counting and counting and counting
Fast Fred get over yourself your team was out matched on both sides of the ball the lions are getting better and could hold there own in the North but this is the NFC East where Superbowls are won more NFC east Super Bowl winner then any other division in the game. And that is with just 3 teams as one has never tasted the glory of a big win

what a joke the.refraining was! All against Detroit? Come on! If the giants hit tom Brady low in the knee like they did shawn hill when he broke his ARM…the field would of been littered with gold rags. I still can’t beleive our third string QB almost beat you. Come up to Ford field with Matt stafford and good refraining and see what’s up!

whats up Bigblofan? Don’t want to admit the the lowly Lions might of kicked your teams ass had the calls been as they should have, watch the game again and then post that we were out matched. If you really think your giants are going back to the big game anytime soon again the you better get over yourself!

At least the Lions are competitive compared to last year. Might be the dumbest team in the league but nonetheless they had a chance, again at the end of the game and came up short. I’ve been a fan for 20 years now and I’m not stoppin now. hell 1-5 is this year is above average for this team over the last decade. Scwartz will have it turned around. Lions fans we have been at rock bottom and believe it or not we are on the upslope….I hope!
