Vince Young suffers knee injury in Jacksonville

Titans quarterback Vince Young has exited his team’s game against the Jaguars after suffering an apparent left knee injury.

The injury occurred after Young fumbled a snap midway through the first quarter.  He was bent backward awkwardly after Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton had wrapped an arm around Young’s left leg.

Young limped off the field under his own power.  He currently is being examined on the sideline.

A challenge to the outcome of the play — a fumble recovery by the Jaguars — resulted in a reversal.  The Titans lead 7-0, and Kerry Collins is in at quarterback.

On his first play, Collins converted on a third down and 12 with a pass to receiver Damian Williams.

UPDATE:  Young is questionable to return to the game.

the hits they just showed from chuck cecil were serious business, dude didn’t mess around. but i think its ironic that the guys in the booth were loving at what a maniac he was and him leveling people when half the hits they showed would have been flagged and fined and now maybe a suspension. didn’t hear them saying that int he first quarter about yesterdays hits

It took the Jags three quarters to figure out MJD is their best threat on offense.
Now the classy Titans are taunting the crowd as they lead late.

Dear Jeff – why is 28 playing minutes in a game that was over at halftime? Note: he will not be getting the 2500, so let’s play it safe ok?
    Oh wait, the games over.

If Vince would have stayed in the Jags would have won.
Fumbled snaps and INTs really help the other team.
