A team’s record ain’t the be all, end all…
You really think St. Louis, Kansas City, Tampa, Jacksonville, Seattle, and Washington are better than the Vikings????? Just because those teams are 3-2 or 3-3 and the Vikings are 2-3???? The Vikings were beaten by the #1 team (Jets) and last year’s #1 team….you obviously hate the Vikings and know nothing about football…the Vikings are about to roll and will be in the top 5 by year’s end…rightfully so.
Vikings are about where they should be right now…and next week they’ll be above the Packers…..

11. Houston Texans (No. 13; 4-2): Andre Johnson’s ability to get away with pass interference may have saved this team’s season.
I think very few people watched the actual game (or at least the play in question). Andre was molesting the CB the entire play, and should have been called for an Illegal Contact penalty 10 yards before the pass was made.
Andre was pushing Flowers while the ball was in the air, so Flowers pushed back. The guy then threw a fit because his Dirk Nowitzki flop drew a penalty.

Ravens are #4 at worst, Jets and Steelers are interchangeable, Colts still haven’t proven that they have a true contending team around Peyton Manning. Best 4 teams in the NFL are (in no particular order) Jets, Steelers, Pats, Ravens.
That is a great point though, about the Giants… Jets are 5-1 and the Giants are 4-2. Both teams are in it to host conference championships this year.
You know what’d be REAL sick, is if the Jets and Giants host the conference championships the year NY hosts the Super Bowl and they both get into the Super Bowl in NY. That’d be the biggest Super Bowl ever… At least for me, as I live a half hour from that stadium.

steelers win by 18 but thats not good enough? the spread was 14 … 18 is three scores … so what im gathering is that beating teams by three scores is not acceptable in the nfl? baltimore beat cleveland by 7 … and beat us by 3 with our field goal kicked missing 2 field goals and with charlie batch at qb.. their over rated… and also stop crying that harrison hits too hard its part of the game .. if you can find me a football player that tells you he is just trying to nudge a player to the ground tell me .. and let me know how their career went

the niners win ONE game and they are ahead of san diego .. not a san diego fan but SF is awful also detroit should be ahead of san francisco as well, detroit is always putting up a fight and has played better opponents close. did singletary shake your hand so you would give him this more than generous ranking?

Since these picks are one man’s opinion, then that’s how he sees it. Having said that, the only glaring issue I see is where San Diego is. Hard to say that they are worse than the 49ers…and I am a niner fan and not a san diego fan.

Peyton Hillis (41 yards) was two yards away from gaining the most yards a starting RB has gotten on us all year (Michael Turner with 42), so I don’t buy his injury as an excuse.
And the way McCoy performed, I don’t think him being in there is much worse than Seneca Wallace or Jake “Captain Turnover” Delhomme.
The Browns haven’t lost by more than 10 points all season, and led against 4-2 Baltimore (IN Baltimore) in the 4th quarter, and I think led against the 4-2 Falcons in the 4th quarter as well. Don’t forget about them beating the division rival Bengals as well who swept and won the division last year.
THEIR AVERAGE MARGIN OF DEFEAT WAS 5.5 POINTS THIS SEASON. Those defeats are to the 4-2 Ravens, division leading 4-2 Falcons, division leading 3-2 Chiefs, and 3-2 Bucs.
Beating them by 18 points with a QB who last saw meaningful snaps against Miami last season is not a reason to degrade their win, especially considering their field position most of the game. That punter turned out to be their best weapon for keeping the game close all day.

All I’ll say about this is that I’m hoping somebody goes for Rothlisberger’s head or Harrison’s knees to give the Steelers (former “Yes, but…champions” – phantom penalties against ‘Hawks; no flags for illegal blocks on Harrison’s INT TD) a taste of their medicine. If these guys want to end careers, then I’m hoping somebody says “game on” and tries to do the same to those guys.

As a Bears fan I was shocked to see them still at 12. They were pitiful against a bad Seattle team. They should be at about 20, however Hester and the D may win enough games this year to make the playoffs in a sad, sad, NFC.

The way Colt McCoy played against the steelers – definitely better than Delhomme or Wallace has played all year. I think the Ravens are lucky McCoy didn’t play. He would have run the table on that overrated, washed-up defense.
