Dallas Clark out indefinitely, possibly for season

There’s some very bad injury news out today for the Indianapolis Colts.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Colts tight end Dallas Clark has a hand/wrist injury that will sideline him indefinitely, if not for the season.

It’s not known what, exactly, the nature of the injury is, but whatever it is, a hand/wrist injury isn’t something a receiving tight end can just play through. This sounds like a significant injury to one of the Colts’ most important players.

Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Clark is “being evaluated” but gave no other details.

  5. Wow…Quiet over in Stampede Blue land today huh? First another “idiot kicker” breaking headlines, now after the trade deadline this happens. How could the Colts not have known this before the deadline? Answer…They did and the season is blown now. Mr Polian, it sucks to see that you have shamed this team to the point to where you won’t go against your own rules and try to swallow a little pride by being forthwright in the media anouncing injuries, then doing something about it before the trade deadline or free agency….Everyone would expect you to get another tight end, but no, just like at safety, you decided again that what you have drafted is good enough and guess what…..Its not.
Hey Stampede Blue Colts fans….Feeling pretty good about your coaching staff and Gm now? I hope Manning decides not you renew his contract and bolts for a better team and GM.

  7. I hope he is able to still play. I am a Pats fan but I like Dallas Clark. he is the kind of classy person and tight end everyone wants on their team.

  9. dzimm08,
Always classy cheering injury news. What exactly has Dallas Clark ever done to you?
    Jay16,
Who exactly were they going to trade for moron? Ya think all the pro bowl caliber tight ends were on the blocks? You are an imbecile plain and simple. For one thing this is not yet confirmed and for another they DID sign another TE one who has been on the team in the past. Did you think possibly that returning WR Anthony Gonzalez could move into the slot role?
    Belichick Is God,
Karma comes down good on people who cheer injuries. Was it Karma when Brady’s ACL got ripped out of his knee? Always funny seeing idiots mention karma, in the process of saying something that should reward them with bad karma.
P.S. Your coach is a cheater and you haven’t won shit since he got busted for it. And he will STILL have no clue on how to stop Peyton Manning Clark or no Clark. And you can take that to the bank.

  11. Wow the Skins put another ugy out. I feel sorry for Cutler this weekend. If the Giants got to him 10 and they gave up another 65 last week. He gets 1 or 2 good hits he might be out too…

  15. I believe that this happened after a Landry tackle when Landry grabbed a hold of his right arm so he could not break his fall (like a rugby tackle) and he slammed into the turf on his side. He was slow to get up after that and I kept on eye out for this.

Listen dipstick, the Colts hide injuries so crawl back under your rock where you came from you idiot and cancel your subscription on here, then take it a step further and go jump in a “canal” somewhere and hold your breath for either “Mike Vanderdrunk” or “Pat Macafee light” to show up and give you mouth to mouth. Maybe they can resesitate some common sense into you and cyphon out the koolaid you’ve been drinking and export it out of your ass.
One tight end who comes to mind right off the bat you squid is Algae Crumpler…The Pats barely use him. Don’t be a fool next time and call me you or you will be owned, then ridiculed, then slapped by your own hand.

I got to be honest with fans like you bro. You guys are the reason the Colts are made fun of. Its not the team…Its jack asses like yourself that need to catch up to the rest of the football world with current events, not what your Stampede Blowers, or the rest of the retards out your way that just can’t for whatever reasons unknown call it the way it is….And that is, your coach, your gm, your team is overrated and have been overrated for years. The rest of us feel like we are watching Dinner for Schmucks and you guys are the Schmucks they bring for dinner.

Getting kicked out of Stampede Blow is like getting kicked out of a chess club…Who cares, once I knew the site was full of alchololics, who couldn’t hold a challenged conversation … I was pretty much done anyway. The truth is, I called them out. The Colts fans are wagon riding sheep. I found that out on that site.
Whats really stupid is when (i take it your a subscriber to that garbage) you challenge their (Stampede Blow)football expertise they revert back to elementary school and feel like they have to get personal, demean your spelling, swear at you, and finally when they can’t come up with anything else they beg the big boss man to ban you for an objective opinion. On here its different, its freedom of speech to the fullest, its coward free.

Maybe if LaRon learns to wrap up the ball carrier like every 6 year old peewee player is taught, instead of shoulder hitting them, they won’t bounce off and keep running.

Seriously? No injury issues in years? How about this list:
    Anthony Gonzalez
    Bob Sanders (yeah, I know…)
    Dwight Freeney
    Jeff Saturday
    Gary Brackett
    Marlin Jackson
    Melvin Bullitt
    Kelvin Hayden
Marvin Harrison (and before you tell me that he was washed up at the time, remember that the year before he had 95 rec. 1300+ yards and 12 TD’s…the injury essentially ended his career).
All major players (many Pro Bowlers), and those were just guys that missed significant time.
The thing is, injuries are a part of the NFL. Every team has injuries just as bad as your favorite team has. Some teams are lucky enough to have young players that surprise and step up (Garcon and Collie last year for Colts…Cassell for the Pats in 2008). Others crash and burn.
If a team can somehow manage to get into the playoffs with their core players active, they are lucky. Most teams have lost 1-2 major players by then. Every once in a while a team will get very, very lucky and make it in without major injuries to their stars. But that is very, very rare.
The Colts will find some way to make up for it. They have a good stable of receivers (which is finally starting to get a little healthy), and they have 18.

PLUS he will do it WITHOUT CHEATING!!
