Dallas Clark out indefinitely, possibly for season

There’s some very bad injury news out today for the Indianapolis Colts.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Colts tight end Dallas Clark has a hand/wrist injury that will sideline him indefinitely, if not for the season.

It’s not known what, exactly, the nature of the injury is, but whatever it is, a hand/wrist injury isn’t something a receiving tight end can just play through. This sounds like a significant injury to one of the Colts’ most important players.

Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Clark is “being evaluated” but gave no other details.

Sweet, I have him and Finley on my team. Love to see this type of recent luck for the Colts though.

Wow…Quiet over in Stampede Blue land today huh? First another “idiot kicker” breaking headlines, now after the trade deadline this happens. How could the Colts not have known this before the deadline? Answer…They did and the season is blown now. Mr Polian, it sucks to see that you have shamed this team to the point to where you won’t go against your own rules and try to swallow a little pride by being forthwright in the media anouncing injuries, then doing something about it before the trade deadline or free agency….Everyone would expect you to get another tight end, but no, just like at safety, you decided again that what you have drafted is good enough and guess what…..Its not.
Hey Stampede Blue Colts fans….Feeling pretty good about your coaching staff and Gm now? I hope Manning decides not you renew his contract and bolts for a better team and GM.

Always classy cheering injury news. What exactly has Dallas Clark ever done to you?
    Jay16,
Who exactly were they going to trade for moron? Ya think all the pro bowl caliber tight ends were on the blocks? You are an imbecile plain and simple. For one thing this is not yet confirmed and for another they DID sign another TE one who has been on the team in the past. Did you think possibly that returning WR Anthony Gonzalez could move into the slot role?
    Belichick Is God,
Karma comes down good on people who cheer injuries. Was it Karma when Brady’s ACL got ripped out of his knee? Always funny seeing idiots mention karma, in the process of saying something that should reward them with bad karma.
P.S. Your coach is a cheater and you haven’t won shit since he got busted for it. And he will STILL have no clue on how to stop Peyton Manning Clark or no Clark. And you can take that to the bank.

I believe that this happened after a Landry tackle when Landry grabbed a hold of his right arm so he could not break his fall (like a rugby tackle) and he slammed into the turf on his side. He was slow to get up after that and I kept on eye out for this.

It’s great that the Redskins have a reputation as punishers….I just wish they’d win more games……….
Maybe if LaRon learns to wrap up the ball carrier like every 6 year old peewee player is taught, instead of shoulder hitting them, they won’t bounce off and keep running.
And if they get some young gigantic offensive linemen who can play, then they’ll become successful.
But as long as they beat the Cowboys………….it’s all good

    Kisstherings:
Seriously? No injury issues in years? How about this list:
    Anthony Gonzalez
    Bob Sanders (yeah, I know…)
    Dwight Freeney
    Jeff Saturday
    Gary Brackett
    Marlin Jackson
    Melvin Bullitt
    Kelvin Hayden
Marvin Harrison (and before you tell me that he was washed up at the time, remember that the year before he had 95 rec. 1300+ yards and 12 TD’s…the injury essentially ended his career).
All major players (many Pro Bowlers), and those were just guys that missed significant time.
The thing is, injuries are a part of the NFL. Every team has injuries just as bad as your favorite team has. Some teams are lucky enough to have young players that surprise and step up (Garcon and Collie last year for Colts…Cassell for the Pats in 2008). Others crash and burn.
If a team can somehow manage to get into the playoffs with their core players active, they are lucky. Most teams have lost 1-2 major players by then. Every once in a while a team will get very, very lucky and make it in without major injuries to their stars. But that is very, very rare.
The Colts will find some way to make up for it. They have a good stable of receivers (which is finally starting to get a little healthy), and they have 18.

Things The Bears should do to prevent getting injured by the Redskins:
    1. Cutler is chopped Veal.
    2. Hester may want to run out of bounds to save himself from Lorenzo Alexander Crushing his aerse on Kickoffs.
    3. Forte may want to pull a Clinton Portis and fall before any one can hit him.
    4. Bears receivers may want to do the same.
    5. Beef up your medical staff they will thank you later.

Ha, Ha! You proved my point bro…Thats what Colts fans do…They correct peoples spelling to hide their shortcomings. Here’s what we know about you bro…
Your a Colts fan…No one cares about you or what you say. When your quarterback retires, your team will move to another city and I can’t wait because none of us will have to sit here and listen to a bunch of pampered so called fans who only pick up how the team does after they read the Indy Star. We all know when the Pats or anyother team in history for that matter came back from their Super Bowl defeat ATLEAST their fans greeted them with open arms…Where were you ADX? Were you one of the 13 or so people who greeted the Colts in the cold after the day of? Where were you?….You weren’t there were you? Your a noboddy, I’ve never even heard of you before today. Your not even relevant. I can tell you that I’m there after all of my beloved teams defeats, RedWings, Pistons, I was there. Colts fans suck. Hey has Manning signed that contract yet…Hmmmm. Come to Detroit Peyton we will never take you for granted, we have a better receiver, better coach, better defense, we will never tell you after 14 wins to quit are you kidding me!
You Colts fans make me sick…
