Any idiot can see that Phillips is saying that his team isn’t getting blown out 40-0. They are in every game and therefore just a few plays from correcting the problems.
What do you expect him to say? “We suck. We’re a terrible team with no hope of improving.”
What a stupid article. Every coach HAS to believe that his team is better than than it shows.

That’s exactly why America hates the Cowboys. That arrogance. “We’re sh*tty, but we’re the best sh*tty team out there.” Seriously, what a clown. The Cowboys just fold under pressure. Next year I won’t be surprised if they make the playoffs. But whenever the pressure is on, they fail. All that preseason Super Bowl hype about being the first team to win the trophy in their own stadium got to their heads. I still remember Romo saying “see you in Dallas for the Super Bowl” at the Hall of Fame game this year. Stupid. I hope Wade Phillips never gets fired and Tony Romo stays as QB for a long time.
