Jaguars quarterback will be “gametime decision”

David Garrard returned to the Jaguars facility on Friday, but it was just to watch his teammates participate in practice.

Garrard is officially out for Sunday’s game in Kansas City, although the team is holding out some hope that backup quarterback Trent Edwards could play. Edwards missed practice the last two days -- we’re waiting to hear about Friday -- but he’ll be listed as questionable with a thumb injury. It is expected that Todd Bouman will start the game for the Jaguars at quarterback.

Jacksonville has also decided to start Courtney Greene and Don Carey at safety. Since the start of the preseason, Jaguars.com notes the team has tried six different starters at the two safety positions.
