Report: Quincy Carter arrested … again

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post in Georgia, former NFL quarterback Quincy Carter was arrested last week in Gwinnett County on a battery warrant from earlier this month.

Police reportedly responded to the home of Carter’s girlfriend at 1:00 a.m. on October 5 when the woman attempted to break up with Carter because she’d “had enough of him being drunk all the time.”  Things then allegedly turned violent.
“He put both of his hands around her neck and started choking her,” Gwinnett County police said.  “He also punched her in the mouth and in the face several times.”
Carter was pulled over on October 15 for an expired tag.  He also did not have a valid driver’s licence and was taken into custody.
“His driver’s license expired in 2004,” wrote the arresting officer.

  1. Another example of an exemplary human being. Where did he learn this you ask? Dallas, Texas where their players think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Everything cowgirls SUCKS!
    HAIL!!!!

  2. This guy once refused to sign an autograph for me lmao…Over time I’ve come to be more pissed at myself for wanting it, rather than pissed at him for being a dick.

  3. I don’t get it……..Why is this on PROfootballtalk.com?…….He never was a pro when he actually played in the league. He’s been out of the league for years, please, stop going for the hit quota, no one gives a rats ass how much he destroyed his own life, and no one cares how much crap you can stir up by posting a NON PRO football story….

  4. Players don’t learn that they they can do whatever they want and get away with it in Dallas TX. They learn it in High School and College all over the country. When you let Jocks get away with following the rules the rest of us follow they expect it for the rest of their lives.

  5. I think you people should all lay off him, he is a nice person and i can tell you i saw him at Wal-Mart and he greeted me very nicly and asked if i would like a shopping cart and even though he was doing his job he was very well manned and even said thanks for shopping at Wal-Mart on the way out.
    Signed
    Betty
I think he has a bright future and may end up a checker someday.

  6. tushay Branephood tushay. I think he should be asking for your autograph. You know one of respectable person.

  7. Oh yea, Quincy Carter, another great 2nd round draft pick by GM Skelator and one of the other puppets Campo. Nice.

  8. For future reference, people who post comments on articles while saying “no one cares about this article” = FAIL!

Does this automatically make him third on the Raiders depth chart at QB?
    *********************************************************
I guess the fact that the Raiders haven’t had a turd on the team for years now means nothing to a donkey fan like you.
    Right, donkey?

Wow…….. you are such a whiny cry baby, grow up a bit, okay?
You are also an idiot. Are you seriously asking why PFT posted a story about an ex NFL starting QB in the “Latest News and Rumors”? Do you throw a tantrum whenever one of the guys posts some “News” or “RUMORS” about any ex-NFL player?
I’m interested in “News” or “Rumors” regarding the NFL, I hope PFT keeps up the awesome job of relaying the “news and rumors” to all us football geeks and dorks.
Seriously though…you’re an idiot and you need to calm down and stop throwing tantrums.

  11. Even I can’t tie this into a Cowboys insult as QC is well past his “tie this into a Cowboys insult” shelf-life.

Now everyone knows why Parcells cut him
    =====================
Yes, because there is no place in the NFL for people who commit domestic violence.
    Just ask:
    James Harrison
    Santonio Holmes
    Frostee Rucker
    Junior Seau
    Leroy Hill
    Stephen Jackson
    Quinn Ojinnaka
    Warren Sapp
    Philip Merling
    Jermaine Philips
    Tony McDaniel
I’m sure there are plenty more, but you get the point. I’m sure Parcells had plenty of reasons for cutting Carter, like that he sucked, but I don’t think it was because he beat women. That’s barely even frowned upon in the NFL.

  13. Quincy Carter took the worst hit I’ve ever seen in a football game. It was a pre-season game against Atlanta and two D-linemen hit him at the same time on the bottom of both sides of his helmet. His bonnet popped at least 10 feet straight up in the air and the look on his face when he walked to the sidelines was unforgettable…

  14. Reached for comment, Jerrah says: Whaa … whaa … the refs are unfair … whaa … whaa … that’s not unnecessary roughness … whaa … whaa … Quincy is a Cowboy, so I support him … whaa … whaa … Why isn’t Barry Switzer in the Hall of Fame? … whaa … whaa …
    Hail!

  15. What kind of a dumba$$ is he driving with an expired license for so long? He is lucky not to be caught earlier.

  16. Quincy gets a lot of crap, but that dude played some pretty good football once upon a time. His only full season as a starter, he takes the team to the playoffs; winning record in games started — better than a lot of stiffs that think they are going to play NFL qb.
