Allen’s entire career is built off beating subpar Offensive tackles. Take a look…his great 14.5 sack season last year was a fraud.
10.5 of those sacks came against the Pack, Detroit and Chicago. Three of the most horrible O-lines and Left Tackles in football.
And now that teams don’t have to dedicate extra resources to blocking the Williams Wall (old and sad), Jared Allen is showing his true color (yellow)

And by the way Super, the point I was getting at is how you homers point out the championships from the 60′s and beyond when trying to defend the current sad state of the Pack. And you hammered it home, while sprinkling in some bitterness over the one who got away. I can’t wait to see the turncoats when Teddy’s team is 3-4 come Sunday. It’s already begun, this should just provide the exclamation point.

Really, what position did you play? But thanks for proving my point, it’s been a decade and a half, and you still talk about it as if it’s somehow relevant to today’s team.
But nice logic, somehow Reggie’s 3 sacks and Howard’s one TD while GB already had the lead were more important than the league MVP’s 3 TD’s and 250 yards. Makes sense coming from the guy who guaranteed Packer wins over Washington and Miami. Only a fool like that would think 4 good plays outweighed an entire game full of them.

While I’ll be the first to admit the Packers tackles have again been struggling this year, it seems to me they mostly have problems with speed rushers.
JA is no speed rusher imo, unless you count overpenetrating 5 yards upfield speed rushing…

I promise you that Jared would be the first to say that he isn’t playing as well as he would like. Lets look at the guys that Jared has lined up aginst. Jake Long & DBrick ferguson are two of the five best LT’s in the game. Jarod Bushrod & Jeff Backus are definitely considered mid-level and compare nicely with Chad Clifton. And finally Doug Free. Doug Free isn’t anyone special, but Jared had a nice game against him. It isn’t as if Jared didn’t do anything. He made some plays and required attention from the QB’s and 2nd tier blockers.

No doubt, where has Cowboy been all season. Having RBs run past him that’s where. Big Fan of the Purple, but he has been invisible in the stat catagory, doesn’t mean he isn’t disruptive, but he can be game planned now days.
How do you drive a packner fan crazy? Put him in a round room and tell him theres free beer in the corner!

Even without Allen producing good numbers, the vikings are still a top five defense. Just wait till he gets going. Rogers will be on his back all night, just like in the locker room with mccarthy.

Allen is playing against Clifton this year, so don’t expect big numbers. he played pretty good against Romo and the Boys last week, even if they dumped the ball off quick on virtually every possession. The D lineman that played well last week was Kevin Williams. The Pack’s offense is now pretty one-dimensional with the TE and RB injuries; however, for some reason I fear Rodgers rushing for about 75 yards on Sunday.

I agree with what pkrjones said. MM’s play calling has been, shall we say, less than stellar so far this season. Completely unimaginative and predictable. They’ll need some new wrinkles to overcome the Vikings defense.

Minnesota SHOULD win this game because they:
– Have better running game
– Have better wideouts
– Have better TE (now)
– Have better d-line
– Have better specials (returner and punter)
Weather forecast is for rain all day and night.
Hardly the recipe for success for McCarthy’s pass-at-all-cost offense.
