"with no team in the conference having fewer than two losses, the Cowboys remain very much alive. To stay there, they need to win this game worse than any regular-season game they've needed to win in years."
That is 100% untrue. The media tends to always say the most recent problems are the more serious problems the team has seen in a while. As to a week 7 game being the most important regular season game in years for the Cowboys is asinine. What about the week 17 game during the 08-09 season? The winner went to the playoffs and the loser went home. How can that not be the more important game? If the Cowboys lose this week they can still make the playoffs that wasnt the case back then.

It will only take the Cowboys ten years before they win their next playoff game. Advice to the Cowboys.
"Good luck in your Super Bowl this Sunday. I'm sure a win over the terrible Packers will keep you MN fatties warm all winter."
Funny because Minneapolis is always ranked as one of the fittest cities in America....which just helps to prove that we have more to do with our lives that just worry about Pro Football. If the Vikings loose, Ill be sad for a few min, but after that will get over it. I dont live and die over the fate of a sporting event.
Oh and BTW the Vikings have one of the highest win vs loss records in NFL history....so yeah...EAT A DICK!

No, No, No....what's really sad is that even if we do turn it around ... and that's a BIG IF at this point, then that will be just enough for Coach Cupcake to keep his job....and then we'll be playing this broken record again next year. I wish Jerry would at least hire a coach that would hold the title of Head Coach/Assistant GM and fire his son Stephen...hell, he sucks also. You never know, he may be the one making all the ridiculous suggestion anyway....well, what the hell am I thinking.....the only person that Jerry listens to is his own reflection!!!!

He was praying.
How about this, leave religion BS out of the game, go to the ground on purpose, 15 yards. 15 yards AFTER the kick return. That’ll stop all of it.

@dirty_dolphin: The incidents I referred to are in no way "celebrations"...the y are PR stunts. It doesn't make the game more "fun" because what they are doing has nothing to do with the game or celebrating. These guys are classless "look at me" clowns that mock the game itself. I'll take an Ozzie Newsome, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, etc. attitude of professionalism over this concocted garbage anyday. These guys actually spend time during the week trying to figure out something to do to bring themselves attention if they actually score. Some of the spontaneous stuff is OK but these guys run 15 yards down the field doing a chest thumping look at me dance after the RB ran 6 yards for a first down. As I said before that is roughly the same as the McDonalds fry guy with his hands in the air running into the serving area every time he remembers to add the salt. If you turn on football to watch the players dance, i suggest you TiVo "Dancing With The Stars" as there is usually a football player dancing on that show.
------------------------------------------------
Perfect. Excellent. Brilliant. Especially the salt bit.

Florio it's a little knee-jerk ridiculous to mark AJ Smith as a failure because the Chargers are off to a slow start. Four bad games isn't a firable offense after building a team that has gone to the postseason five of the last six years. The only year AJ's team didn't reach the playoffs was 2005 when MARTY choked worse than Norv with a much better team than this one.
It's comical when writers act like they know what's going on when they don't have an inkling of the history of how a team arrived to where they are. Simply put, you don't know Jack about the Chargers and it makes me doubt the credibility of this website that you state obvious garbage about a team I know much better than you.

The Steelers are the new Raiders - dirty players . Have been for years . Hopefully they wind up sharing the same fate eventually and fade into obscurity soon . Someone needs to layeth the smacketh down on Harrison and Ward and give them some of their own medicine .
-------------------------------------------------
The Steelers aren't dirty players--they're tough players. And instead of crying and begging for flags Ward hits back.
Meanwhile that score is still 21-10. Whine on.
