Extra for Week 7’s Vikings-Packers game. You can access his live chat

10:16
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio Do you see Josh McDaniels coaching the Broncos next year?
PFTonSNF: . . . At this point, nope.

10:10
PFTonSNF: And … the 2010 Favre shows up after a solid start. Hit on his ankle changed his throw.

10:22
AskSNF: Prediction for worst record in the NFL at the end of the year and the winner of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes?
PFTonSNF: Because of a brutal schedule, I’ll say the Bills go 2-14 which should be good for the top pick.

10:22
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio – can you make a tackle by grabing a players hair?
PFTonSNF: Yep. Not a violation at all.

10:25
PFTonSNF: Great route by Greg Jennings. Asher Allen has been impressive overall this year, but just got toasted.

10:29
AskSNF: What did you think of Ed Reed’s Return?
PFTonSNF: That’s nine games with two interceptions. Most among active players, passing Darren Sharper.

10:32
PFTonSNF: Favre was like a kid out there just having fun on that pick six.

10:34
PFTonSNF: Randy Moss has been a net zero in this game.

10:35
PFTonSNF: I think they haven’t been “up” for some of these games against so-so opponents. Crazy amount of turnovers, mental mistakes.

10:38
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio Do you think the tank is empty for brett farve
PFTonSNF: Still making plays … like on that touchdown drive. Just hasn’t been consistent.

10:42
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio who would ever thought Favre to Moss would have happened in green bay
PFTonSNF: It’s true … we sorta take this insanity for granted at this point. Great game.

10:42
AskSNF: Do you think Randy Moss will sign a long term deal in Minnesota?
PFTonSNF: Probably not, but Moss move not about long term.

10:43
PFTonSNF: The Packers ran the ball!

10:44
PFTonSNF: Packers offensive line has played very well … night and day compared to last year.

10:49
PFTonSNF: Remember that pickup by Kuhn … Vikings D had a chance there to turn game around.

10:50
AskSNF: when is sidney rice expected back? or with moss there will they shut him down for the season?
PFTonSNF: He should be back in 3-4 weeks roughly.

10:55
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio who will win this game? and why?
PFTonSNF: The Vikings will win if the Packers call another run to John Kuhn on fourth and short.

10:57
PFTonSNF: It looked like the officials blew the Kuhn play dead too early though. Packers got some breaks early … usually evens out.

10:58
AskSNF: Shouldn’t they have given Kuhn forward progress? He wasn’t down and kept pushing. Replay showed he was clearly above the ground.
PFTonSNF: They whistled the play dead. Now it’s time for Peterson to take over.

11:00
PFTonSNF: And there’s the trifecta of picks for Favre. They should just let Peterson run every play.

11:00
PFTonSNF: Brett Favre has 10 INTs this year in 6 games … he had seven all of last year.

11:02
AskSNF: Ask Mike Florio Do you think they should take Farve out?
PFTonSNF: Let’s not get crazy here … Favre still gives them a better chance to win.

11:03
AskSNF: What’s going on with Driver?
PFTonSNF: Reception streak on the line … doesn’t look healthy.

11:05
PFTonSNF: Huge drive for the Packers here … this is where they have given away games this season. Need to score off turnover.

11:07
AskSNF: is chilly back if vikes don’t make the playoffs? is he on the hot seat if he comes back next year?
PFTonSNF: Think he has some breathing room after extension last year.

11:07
PFTonSNF: Please stop with this 49ers stuff now … they are 1-6. They lost to the Panthers. They just aren’t good.

11:09
AskSNF: can favre pull off the comeback
PFTonSNF: Sure, they have moved the ball fairly well in the second half.

11:10
PFTonSNF: Peterson up to 125 yards on 24 carries … he will earn his money tonight.

11:11
PFTonSNF: Huge third down here because you know Childress won’t go for it on fourth down.

11:12
PFTonSNF: Of course now he’ll go for it because it’s fourth and inches …

11:13
AskSNF: You seem to be a Favre fan!
PFTonSNF: That’s a new one.

11:13
AskSNF: You seem to be a Favre fan!
PFTonSNF: That’s a new one.

11:15
AskSNF: iIs Phil Loadholt signed an exension for coming years? He is a force on the O line but do u think he vould be better on left side?
PFTonSNF: Rookie deal goes through 2012. He’s a natural on the right side.

11:15
PFTonSNF: Can’t ask for much more than this … Favre down 4 in Lambeau, two minute warning, 55 yards to go.

11:19
PFTonSNF: Great hit by Nick Collins on third down. So where do the Vikings go on their biggest play of the year (so far)?

11:20
PFTonSNF: Huge moment for Moss. Vikings offensive line picks up blitz great.

11:21
PFTonSNF: Packers down to 3 healthy defensive linemen … and one of them gets Favre for a sack.

11:22
AskSNF: I: hope the Vikings kick a field goal so they tie the game up. Overtime bab!!!!
PFTonSNF: This plan has one major flaw in it.

11:23
PFTonSNF: Peterson has improved as a wideout … nice playcall by Childress there.

11:26
PFTonSNF: How do you miss that call? He’s sitting there … just for that call.

11:28
PFTonSNF: Peterson play makes sense … gives them a chance. What an emotional rollercoaster though after Vikings thought they won.

11:29
PFTonSNF: Favre rolling out is not what I’ve in mind if I was Brad Childress.

11:32
PFTonSNF: Favre didn’t give Moss a chance with final two throws. Now all Favre has to do is win in New England next week to avoid going 2-5.

11:32
AskSNF: Finally Farve did not break my heart!!!!!
PFTonSNF: Will assume this is a Packers fan.

11:33
AskSNF: yeah take away the 7 points they didn’t deserve vikings won
PFTonSNF: You have to be kidding.

11:34
PFTonSNF: Lot of fun guys … thanks for watching.

i have nfl sunday ticket. missed the opening of the vikings game last week due to an overtime early game. my channel was blacked out, due to the fact that it was on tv…….
    but it was not.
this week, my local station is airing tornado watches all night. luckily, i can watch online.
some nfl rules totally screw fans that pay to watch the games.

PFTonSNF: Favre was like a kid out there just having fun on that pick six.

Is Jared Allen the redneck version of Sampson? His wife makes him cut the mullet off, and he loses his sack mojo. Time to grow it back

good game Viking fans – definitely a very close and well played and hard fought game.

  8. SJ Apollo says: Oct 24, 2010 11:45 PM

Aw, Chilly is bitching about the officiating again.

  9. Johnnyp56 says: Oct 24, 2010 11:52 PM

    Yea

Glad the Packers escaped with a win, but I thought the refs were just horrible tonight. The NFL needs to totally revamp the catch rule. If Schinacoe didn’t have a touch down, I don’t know what one is. Then again, I also thought Calvin Johnson had a touchdown, so what do I know?

  11. 12+81=7 says: Oct 24, 2010 11:53 PM

Hmmm, Vikes lost by 4. Remember earlier when that clear TD was overturned and the Vikes kicked a field goal? What a bogus call.

  12. hogan894 says: Oct 25, 2010 12:02 AM

    1. Did the referee at the back of the end zone call Harvin inbounds because he wanted Favre to win, or did he do it because with instant replay they no longer try to get it right?
    2. The Cowboys, losers of the “desperation bowl” to the Vikes, are one home win away from being down 1 game in the loss column in their division, compared to the Vikes who will probably be 2-5 after next week.

  13. DeepPurple23 says: Oct 25, 2010 7:48 AM

The referee call it a TD, because he chose not to call the pass interference that pushed Harvin while the ball was in the air. GB had a TD early on 3 and 8 that should have been challenged and MN’s TD was taken away on a really bad replay call, seven point swing, not blaming this one on the officials, however, a majority of the bad calls that hurt the Vikings were all on the scoreboard. It’s starting to feel like the NFL no longer wants the game decided on the field. This new head of officiating is a joke, it’b been bad all over the league this year and if it continues you’ll start losing fan, I know because I’ll be one of them.

  14. Calistin says: Oct 25, 2010 9:34 AM

Are Vikings fans really stupid enough that they don’t know the football cannot touch the ground and be a completed pass?
    The. Ball. Hit. The. Ground.
Don’t complain about bad refs, your inept leader is to blame. Am I talking about Favre or Childress? Idk, who exactly leads that team?
