Good Riddance. The Bucs have enough trouble with opponents back up running backs, we don’t need a habitual buffoon bringing down the potential of a young, impressionable team. The “number one team in the NFC” made a strong choice in dismissing his services…

One thing about this “intent to sell” debate. I get that drug laws are written harshly, and that he might have had enough weed to meet the legal definition of “intent to sell,” while not really truly having the intention of selling any of it.
However…what NFL player smokes that much weed during the season? Don’t they still have random drug tests in the NFL? Was he just hoping to be lucky and not get tested? Or just astonishingly stupid?

I don’t care about the pot arrest but Jerramy has been a punk his whole life. He cheated and played dirty in high school (also beat someone much smaller with a baseball bat). He sexually assaulted women in college and who knows what since. He is everything you don’t want in your community.

Even though the Bucs released him as a vested veteran he is entitled to be paid the $1.425M in his 2010 contract.
That and the $1.265 million he made in 2009 plus whatever he sucked out of the seahawks as a 1st rounder in 2002 should buy him a lot of reefer.

No, he was probably talking about Corey Dillon (arrested), Randy Moss (arrested), Sammy Morris (suspended for positive drug test), Brandon Meriweather (shooting incident and suspension for FIU brawl in college), Kevin Faulk (arrested for drugs), Nick Kaczur (arrested for drugs), Brett Lockett (on IR- arrested for brawl at strip club), Quinn Ojinnaka (arrested for beating his wife).
That’s probably the Pats team he was talking about.

Just because the law is possession of over ounce is intent to distribute does not mean that was the perps intent. A big time pot smoker can go through an ounce in a week or less, much less if the ounce was for a party or for more than one person. To think a millionaire is buying an ounce of pot to sell four quarters for a profit of maybe a hundred bucks is extremely stupid. The chances of him getting so much as even charged with intent to distribute, if he was not in possession of baggies, scales, etc, is ZERO.
The law is there to draw the line between the average quarter ounce buying regular joe pot smoker and dealers, it does not take into account the fact that people with big bucks are going to buy bigger quantities simply because they have the money to do so. No different that buying the 20 pack of toilet paper on payday vs. scraping together change to buy one roll when you’re broke.

Hope he made a lot of money off that weed sale. His contract was nearly $1.5 million. This, to me, is worse than the guy who gets caught doing coke because he’s addicted. This guy just lost a million dollar career while trying to illegally earn a hundred bucks.
