For a few quarters on Sunday, it looked like Todd Bouman had a shot to lead the Jaguars to an upset victory and cause a mini quarterback controversy in Jacksonville.
Then right tackle Eben Britton got hurt, the Jaguars offense stalled, and Bouman wound up hurting his ring finger. Usual starter David Garrard missed the game with a concussion, but coach Jack Del Rio said he expects Garrard to be ready for Sunday’s game against Dallas, according to Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union.
It sounds like this was a serious concussion, as Garrard told the AP the “fog didn’t lift” until Saturday. Garrard still needs to pass his concussion test on Tuesday and he’ll start if he’s healthy.
“As long as he remembers snap counts and how to play football,” said Del Rio.

His whole career has been in a fog
So thats our requirement for QB? To be able to snap count. Also “play” is a relative term.
What a bad news for the Jags fan?
Let’s hope he remembers how to win big.
That’s something that we haven’t seen from him
Maybe the hit knocked sense into Garrard and he’ll be able to read defenses now…
Jags lose the games they should win and win games they should lose.
With Romo out, don’t be surprised if Jags beat Dallas on Sunday.
With Romo out, don’t be surprised if Jon Kitna has 400 yds passing and 6 TDs. If you play fantasy football start Kitna, Marion Barber and Felix Jones, Jason Witten… eh, hell start the entire Dallas offense.
Agreed, Jags will make Kitna look like Montana
