You know off the bat, the problem begins
and end with Jerry Jones. One reason is
because he is the Owner, President and the
General Manager of the Cowboys. Jerry
thinks he knows Football but this season is
like going back to 1989 when he first own
the team and after he let Tom Landry go.
Jerry needs a General Manager to help
pick out the right coach for the team.
The other problem is not totally Wade
Phillip fault because he should have not
signed to be the coach of the Cowboys. The
reason? He has to do exactly what Jerry
Jones wants him to do with the team. Wade
does not have much independant. The only
other worst team that than the Cowboys
are the Buffalo Bills who is now 0-6.

I don’t get it. Philips wasn’t on the field. He wasn’t playing blind CB out there. He wasn’t the part of the seive called an O-line. He wasn’t making Austin drop two sure catches that cost the Cowboys 7 points.
Yeah, Gruden. Let’s fire a coach, then hire a coach that was fired. Makes sense.

The Giants are the beat team in football right now. They are the most balanced team in football & statistically superior to all other 6-1, 5-2 teams in the NFL. The Jets are better on ST than the Giants, but the Giants have an equal running game, a better pass game & a better defense. The same with the Steelers & Ravens, however I might give the nod to the Steelers over the Giants right now. If any team reminds me of the ’09 Giants, its the Jets. They are a fake 5-1 & could easily see them falling apart. Their defense is a shell of last year & the cannot execute in the Red Zone. The Giants will clean up their mistakes & once they play a full, clean game, watch out; there will be no mistake who the best team in the NFL is. There is no other team that could win a game with 5 turnovers & a punt return.

Hey, Mike R: I have been a ‘Skins fan all my life…grew up to “GD@*$ Sonny Jergenson!!!Expletive, expletive!”, but I feel for you. Watch another game every week and root for the underdog or against the team that deserves to lose based on idiocy of coaches/players, etc. Dallas can’t stay down forever. If we can look half-way respectable, there’s hope for all!

I have been a Cowboys Fan for about 42 years and these last three years have been the worst that I can remember. We have an owner who has to control everything and is causing the ship to sink with him and a coach who has no clue how to coach. An offensive coordinator that is over rated and a former head coach for the Cowboys on the defensive end of the ball and he had no clue when he was the head coach. Yeah real good coaching staff. Looks like I actually might give up football until Jones sells, I can’t root for another team and I can’t root for them. Now I have to root for another owner that I hate and wish for the Knicks to do something positive. Right

As a Giants fan, I don’t know if you can ask for much more in one night of football. Romo knocked out for 6-8 weeks, putting Wade out of the job, all in Jerry’s little theme park.

Loving the reactions of big mouth Cowboy fans realizing their team really does suck. Romo or not.
Think Phillips is a good coach, but his window of producing in Dallas has closed. Hate to think it, but maybe Jason Garrett gets his shot next year.
I’d go slow and easy if piling on the Giants bandwagon. Sure they’re playing well now, but we’ve seen all this before. Just don’t see them running away from the pack in the NFC.

Giant D didn’t play that badly. 3 Giant early turnovers in their territory let to 13 points and a punt return for 80+ yards plus a Jacobs fumble inside the Giants 45 led to 7. That’s 27 points the D didn’t have a whole lot to do with giving up. Giants had 5 turnovers. You usually lose those games.

The Ghost Of Terry Bradshaw – as poorly as Eli and the defense played in this game and given the recent trend of Coughlin Giants teams folding down the stretch (1-4 in 2008 after 11-1 start, 3-8 after 5-0 start last year), his job might not be that secure.

It may be time to put a headstone on the jobs of Chilly, Norv and Wade. Could qualify for a group discount by firing them all at the same time.
Is it too early to resusitate the Norv-back-to-Dallas rumors?
I see that as a lateral move at best, exchanging competitive defense for a competitive offense, but the puppet strings would still be clearly visible. Jerry might make one more try to win with this group by bringing back some Dallas magic.

i saw the titans and the giants play. your hallucination must have started before that. otherwise you would remember that game, and could not call the gints the best team in the NFL.
don’t forget eli was, is, and always will be a turnover machine. and any other team without wade as a coach and jj as the g.m. would have had the giants by the throat after turnover number three (which ignores several others i know).
be happy now cause just like the ’09 giants (remember, they were the alleged best team after 6 games last year), you will be watching the playoffs again from the sidelines…..

There was a time, yes it was long ago, when the ‘boys were a good team and good organization. Their fans, while generally pretty obnoxious, were hard nosed and reality based. Which brings me to the bad part of the ‘boys losing: the loud whining of the Cowboy fans. 9-7 will get some NFC team into playoffs this year (perhaps even 8-8). News flash. It don’t be the ‘boys. But for all your whiners and excuse makers in Dallas, the good news is that Romo won’t be playing QB again this season. Heck, that’s good for at least two wins more even with Jerry Jones and his assistant coach Wade Phillips running things.

This is the first game that the Dallas Cowboys actually got beat in this year. They obviously beat themselves the other 5 losses. They dominated every part of the games except the final score. Against the Giants, they were dominated so they deserved to lose. The other 5, not so much.

#1- The Giants aren’t even the best team in NY.
#2- The best team doesn’t always win.
#3- Yes, Igor Ilshansky is an idiot.
#4- Cowboys are done but they will not feel the pressure that
Jerry put on them anymore and will beat some teams
toward the end of the season to knock them out of the
playoff picture also.

Just more proof that last season was an “off year” for the Dallas Cowboys!
Cry me a river….the Eagles have had QB injuries since week #1 and are still 4-3.
Dallas has been a joke of a franchise for over a decade. The only ones not to get that are the fans and Coach Phillips.
Thanks for hosting the Superbowl, Dallas! It’s about all you’re good for this season!

Yes, the record will show that they would have been 1-5 without Romo. Also let it show that Romo is nothing special. He may be one of the most overrated quarterbacks of the past decade. The Giants are a well coached team that can run the ball and get after the opposing quarterback.
