I KNEW it. Sterger wanted to capitalize on their little TXT affair and they figured sexual harrasment because he’d would never admit to a mutual anything. Her bluff failed.

Hopefully Mrs. Favre will be as forgiving for pursuing but possibly not closing the deal on Ms Sterger.

To those that explain away the sexual harassment angle consider this:
There are plenty of examples out there in the workplace where “innocent” activities like flirting and dating and sexting are just fine when things are going well, but if/when things go south many of these people can find themselves in hot water.
Just because it’s OK one day doesn’t mean it will always be OK.
This is why idiots like Brent should stick to playing football. Nothing good can ever come out of a story like this. At the minimum he looks like the dirty old man and (once again) a total embarassment to his wife and family. You would think he would have learned his lesson by now after all the carousing (allegedly) and boozing and generally stupid behavior when he played all of those years in Green Bay.
He may be a hero to a lot of people, but deep down the guy has issues and he has no one to blame but himself. He’s “Cheesus” to a lot of people, but to many others he’s just another spoiled brat that doesn’t know how to behave. Thankfully he’s Minnesota’s problem now. Have fun with that Vikings fans.

Sorry to get all “what I learned in kindergarten” on you, my fellow Steelers fan, but two wrongs don’t make a right. Yes, some of these Vikes fans were among the biggest “douches” on the Ben threads. But that doesn’t mean another of these women should profit at the expense of a player and his family and team.

Under the law, it doesn’t matter if the texting seemed mutual. She might have FELT coerced. How does one prove that she wasn’t? Or that she was for that matter.
That’s why we have sexaul harassment laws and training.
What might seem innocent and mutual for one person might not be so for the other even if…gasp..there were smiles involved.

I’m getting pretty sick…past sick of Goody-all thinking he’s the pastor of a church as the NFL Commissioner. He needs to work on getting a soundly officiated game in the books before worrying about whose penis has been digitized and sent into cyberspace. If the cops come knocking on the door, then point them to his employee’s locker. You’d be a fool to think that there is any objective boundary to the way that guy is pursuing the ideal of “good conduct”. If you piss him off, embarass him, or cost him present or future revenue that your talent and celebrity will not regenerate, I’m pretty sure that’s the standard being pursued.

I didn’t realize that “middle-aged quarterback.. preying upon a young, innocent girl who was merely trying to make a living” was the standard used in workplace sexual discrimination cases.
Regardless of her innocence or their respective age, he was the Jets most prominent employee and may have gotten her number through the team. Just because you return someone’s texts doesn’t mean you consent to viewing hi-res photos of his dong. She definitely could have thought her response to his come ons could affect her job. That is the essence of a sexual harrasment complaint.
If you think she won’t get paid, you don’t know how lawyers operate. At least she has enough to state a claim and get a civil trial started. Think brett favre wants his text and cell phone records examined through discovery? How many other chicks do you think he pulled this with? Think he wants his wife and adoring public reading headlines about this as it drags through the courts?

#1. Anybody that looks at ANY athlete as a “savior and hero” needs to get a reality check – they are athletes. And though Tiger has certainly fallen from grace and ‘fooled the world’ -that could be the case with any athlete….just like he used to be squeeky clean…..any of of the can be next in line. Your Favre and LaBron examples are ridiculous as Favre has never been considered a squeeky clean role model with his pill addictions etc., and Labron has done nothing except have some very bad public relations advice – he hasn’t done anything immoral or offensive….accept maybe to a bunch of people in Cleveland that still wish he was there, and the 3 people that actually watched and suffered through his aweful “ESPN Decision Special.”
