Donald Brown practices; cornerbacks shaky for banged-up Colts

With 12 players hurt on the active roster, the Colts were bound to provide some good news and some concerns with their official injury report Saturday.

The good: Donald Brown practiced fully and should be available at running back. It looks like he’ll split the carries with Mike Hart on Monday against Houston.

Wide receivers Pierre Garcon (foot), Anthony Gonzalez (ankle), and Reggie Wayne (hamstring) all practiced fully on Saturday. Wayne was limited earlier in the week. They are all listed as questionable, but should be ready to roll against the Texans.

Now, the bad: Joseph Addai is listed as doubtful because of a shoulder injury that prevented him from practicing all week. No surprise there. Perhaps more concerning is that cornerbacks Jacob Lacey and Jerraud Powers both missed all of practice all week because of foot injuries. Powers has been playing at a very high level.

The Texans ran right through the Colts in their first meeting, but they may want to test the banged-up Colts secondary more this time. Safety Bob Sanders and Austin Collie are both out, as expected.

Houston is healthier coming off their bye week. Guard Mike Brisel is questionable with a knee injury after being limited in practice all week. Defensive lineman Earl Mitchell (ankle) and Jesse Nading (knee) are both doubtful.
