The Cardinals’ up-and-down defense was bolstered this weekend in anticipation of Sunday’s game against the Bucs.
The team activated linebackers Gerald Hayes and rookie O’Brien Schofield off the PUP list. Hayes has been a key starter for the team. Schofield is coming off a serious knee injury suffered at the Senior Bowl in January. He’ll be the only true reserve outside linebacker available with Clark Haggans hurt.
The Cardinals released wide receiver Onrea Jones and linebacker Alex Hall to make room.
