Did the interview that he did after the game with New England cause this? He was very emotional, saying about how much he missed being a part of the Patriots team. He also said Belichick was the best coach, etc and I actually felt sorry for him. He seemed like he was extremely unhappy in Minnesota and would do anything to leave. I guess he got his wish. I do agree that NE should pick him up, he seemed to have learned to appreciate what he had and maybe won’t make the same mistakes again with a team that he actually likes.

Remeber when Simmons compared Moss to having a hot crazy girlfriend. He was wrong. The whole Vikings organization is the crazy girlfriend and all Vikings fans are stuck with them forever.

If Moss breached the contract by not participating in post-game press coverage [and giving notice that he would never participate in post-game press coverage], would the Vikings be relieved from the $6.5 million obligation to Moss if Moss is not picked up on waivers by tomorrow?

Latest reports are that Childress did not advise ownership or the team’s administration of the decision of Childress. Apparently, Chilly advised the team first. If Moss isn’t claimed via waivers, the Vikings have to eat his $3-4 million salary.
The last days of Chilly are at hand–he may not survive the next 48 hours in his current employment. Although he has absolute authority over the roster and had the authority to make the unilateral move (reportedly/allegedly), his decision making was absolutely unacceptable–like most of his game time adjustments. It’s just a matter of time….

I’ll say this, the Vikings have become the most interesting team in the NFL, but for all the wrong reason. To Vikings fans, I wish I could say it couldn’t get any worse, because actually it still could, but at least in the long run it’ll get better.
Chilly is the high school teacher and Moss is the insolent kid who acts up and disrupts class. What he doesn’t understand is that kicking him out of the room doesn’t fix the problem, it just makes it worse.

I love Chilly. He is an excellent coach. There is no need of getting rid of him. Hell, he will even send half the team down to a swamp to pick up a Senior Citizen for qb. That Viking DL and Offensive line is also impressive. Zero sacks in three games. Jared Allen got his payday and has decided to take it easy. Poor Brent “glass Joe” Favre. He is sure taking a beating. Damn, it feels good to be at the top of the standings!

Look out NFL…Moss is heading back to the Pats for a 3 year deal for peanuts just to win a ring. At the right price they can afford to put him him back in the lineup in special packages and he will give every DC the Pats face nightmares.
As far as the Vikings go there is no sense in having the most prolific deep threat in the game if you don’t have a QB who can throw the ball far enough, but they should have known that 25 days ago.
The Vikings are a mess. Childress and company make Al Davis and Jerry Jones look pretty good in comparison.

Chilly’s last stand. He took a hit the last two years with how he handled the favre stuff. He has a reputation of being a pushover. He has had players call him out in press conferences, etc. He is simply doing this to get fired, so he can ultimately say that the Favre fiasco was mandated by upper management and therefor not his fault. He knows he is done after this year anyway so he is just trying to fix his reputation in the hopes of getting another job in the NFL. I doubt seriously that it will work.

Leslie Frazier has a top 5 D-line, a very solid LB crew and an average secondary. They are giving up yards like crazy and getting no pressure on the quarterback or turnovers.

Sorry, don’t buy for a SECOND he does not know. Glazer just has to have his name on a headline. How does he know Moss doesn’t? He has an agent, a homey, a relative, that either has access to Twitter, email, plain old phone call, whatever. Don’t buy Glazer’s rant at all.
