I wouldn’t put it past Billicheat if he told Moss to go along with the trade. New England get the pick and then be a prick and get waived.

MN gets criticized for signing him, then criticized for ditching him, but now everyone is clamoring to get him on their team. Good call.
For the record, I don’t want him on the Steelers. They already have a developing deep threat in Mike Wallace.
Moss can eff right off back to NE for all I care.

It’s never gonna happen but just imagine if moss lined up across from megaton!! Would make lions already great TE’s even more useable, for sure open up the running game more. Just a thought but imagane trying to figure out who to double moss or Calvin!!

Denver is a possibility. They rank high on the waiver priority and could use a better WR opposite Lloyd. Orton and Moss could be a great combination. The Josh McDaniels/New England connection could help push the move as well.
Only thing I can think of why they wouldn’t go for Moss is because of their history of trading Brandon Marshall. Marshall was great, but Denver didn’t want to deal with the drama and the same desire to avoid drama could keep him out of Denver.
I think he would be a great addition to Denver though, no doubt. Plus, Denver might be keene to keep Moss away from San Diego if they start to show any interest, maybe?

What about Denver? Doesn’t THAT make more sense as a Landing spot? Josh McDaniels LOVES bringing old Pats in, they need WR help (I think), and don’t they get 2nd crack at him, after the Bills? With a 2-6 record, doesn’t that make them the 2nd worse team?
Obviously they have to “pay him his money,” like KGB said, but, I think it makes the most sense.

It’s all good. It’s a hot topic and everyone has quick thoughts on the issue that aren’t always perfect. Mine included.
After thinking some more, you do make a good point about Moss not wanting to play for a bad team.
Any team that signs him only has him until the end of the season with no guarantees of signing long term.
Since the trade deadline is over for this season, any team that picks him up only has him until the end of this season and can’t trade him until the off season IF he signs a new contract.
That said, a team like Carolina might not take him because they won’t be able to keep him or trade him and they would be on the hook for his salary in a season where they are, for all intents and purposes, out of the playoff race. Not much business sense to make a play for him, unless they feel they can convince him to sign long term.
My initial thought was Moss going to Carolina because it’s a glaring need. But need doesn’t 100% drive the decision making process.
On the other hand, since John Fox is apparently on the hot seat, any desperate move to try and get more wins this season has to be factored in. Could Fox petition Panthers ownership to make the move?
I really have no idea what any of the organizations are really thinking in terms of the decision making process, but it’s fun to play armchair owner.
Now, if the Vikings would actually put Moss on the Waiver list, we’d find out soon enough. LOL

Vikes have a lot of good talent and weapons on their team…they just need a different coach. They didn’t need Moss to win anything…they proved that last year, but whenever Childress takes the reins, it goes South. ATTENTION MN VIKINGS—>YOU NEED A NEW COACH! Sidney Rice is way better then Moss…has anyone seen his practices, passion and drive? Truly a team player…he just needs to heal up. I am not a Rams fan, but they seem like the logical choice. They are in a poor division and have a real shot of making the playoffs. They are very very thin at the WR position and have perhaps the best of the young QB’s who’ve come out in the last couple of years. And while they have virtually no shot of going deep in the playoffs, the excitement generated by a playoff run would do wonders for a fan base that is just getting back into the swing of it.
I bet Bradford would love having Moss out on his flank.

Fact is, *if* you can get Moss to play at his potential, there is not a team in the league that wouldn’t be better off with him on their roster.
When playing at 100%, even at his current age, he’s a top 5 WR.
Chargers or Bears (strong armed confident QBs who lack a #1 WR and, without a change, have a good chance of missing the playoffs) would be crazy not to put in a waiver claim.

Only AFTER he clears waivers are the Vikings responsible for the rest of his money. And once he’s a free agent, do you honestly think he will go to any of the crap teams you are all listing?

Can a team claim Moss and shut him down for the rest of the year? Like when the Raiders wanted Deion in 2002 for the playoffs but the Charges claimed him solely to prevent him from going to the Raiders. Deion never played a down with the Chargers.
