Official Randy Moss website posts poll on his next team

As we all try to figure out where Randy Moss will finish the 2010 season, the official Randy Moss website wants input as to his destination.

In a poll posted on the front page of the site (which is still adorned with the Vikings logo), the question is posed:  Where will Randy play next?

The choices are the Dolphins, Rams, and Seahawks.

The Rams, currently in the lead, have the highest spot in the waiver priority.

It’s unlikely that Moss himself had a role in fashioning the poll.  Still, it’s his official website.  And it’s worth at least asking the question as to whether this is his way of making his preferences known.

  1. Vike’s are morons they should of put him on the trading block to get their pick back and mostlikely more then what they got him for

  2. RAMS!!!!
He should be a VIking but I would like to see Sam Bradford throwing the ball deep. This would be a huge boost for the Rams I beleive.
Jackson should get more on the ground this way as well and ope up more recievers down the field.
Even though Moss isn’t the Moss of old, he still will draw that safety over top of him.

  3. I love the fact that he uses the Viking’s logo on the site… kinda of F U to Col Klink on his way out the door.
Now, let’s have a poll on which sideline reporter BrINT will send his next croc pix to.

  4. Just when you thought is was safe to assume that hyper-narcissism couldn’t find a way to outdo itself…

  5. Is it my computer or do Randy’s eyes look glossy in that pic on his official website? Does he look sort of ‘Mossed over’ to anyone else?

  6. i love football. love watching the games every week. love playing fantasy. love talking about football.
however it is sad that winning means more to people/owners/fans than having some integrity and not allowing some one of this character on your team.

    @njhitman
Trade deadline has passed and the player is on the last year of his contract.
    Options:
-Putting up with him for the remainder of the season
-Signing him to a long-term deal & keeping him
-Signing him to a long-term deal & trying to trade him in off-season. This was not really an option since there are more tenured Vikings due to be re-upped
    -Put player on waiver wire
Since Chilly did not want him around, they waived him. You can question that judgment or how Chilly went about it.
You cannot say the Vikes should have traded Moss.

  10. @njhitman…
I’m sure you’ve never been accused of being a genius, but being that the trade deadline passed it would be tough for the Vikings to have traded Moss. Clearly you’re the moron.

It’s “should have” first of all. Second, the trading deadline has passed. Third, “more than” is the correct way to write that. A little effort if you’re going to post.

  12. I find it funny that the majority of fans and NFL “talking heads” don’t realize that Moss is playing the NFL like a fiddle.
He’s not an out of control bad boy… he’s working the system to get to a team that will give him what he wants.
He wants a contract extension – and he wants it before a lockout
When he wasn’t going to get that from the Patriots he fostered a trade to the Vikings. When the Vikings made it clear they weren’t going to give him the extension he wanted he publicly insulted Childress to get himself cut.
His agent will make it clear that he wants to be on a team that will allow him to showcase his talents, and will seriously consider a contract extension before the end of the season. Any team that doesn’t meet this criteria can expect to see Bad Boy Randy should they claim him.
Any team that meets the criteria should expect to see Good Boy Randy that produced and behaved well for the majority of his time in New England.
Randy’s not out of control – he’s very much IN control… but most fans and NFL personnel aren’t smart enough to realize that.

  15. SEAHAWKS NOT INTERESTED…
My bro in-law works for them, he said he would give me his car if seahawks got him, so i”m sure he isn’t going to seattle.

  16. “How many games will the Vikings win this year?” that is the funny poll on his site. it’s lists 8, 10, and 12 for the choices. it should list 2, 3, and 4. LOL

Speaking of morons……trade deadline. google it.

  18. Maybe some day the NFL teams will learn to rid themselves of foolish people like Moss, T.O and others and this kind of cancer inside the team locker rooms will stop. The sport will be alot better too and ESPN, Fox and even this site will have to talk about REAL football stories instead of a few whining player that never grew up

    Totally legit source.
If this guy on an internet forum says so, then it must be true amirite?

  21. Rams?? I highly doubt they would risk Bradford’s confidence by bringin in Moss. He’d just bash the hell out of him for every Rookie he’s gonna make.

The Vike’s are morons! They should have put him on the trading block to get their pick back, and most likely more than what they got for him.
    Should of??? More then??? LMFAO
Ok, now that we got passed your assault on grammar, lets touch on the subject of trading Moss:
    1) The trade deadline passed, THEY CANT TRADE HIM UNTIL NEXT YEAR! Assuming he got a new contract, and that opens up a whole bunch of new questions….why sign a guy you intend to trade, why would anyone want a player that you dont want 4 weeks after you wanted him….etc..
    2) They just traded a 3rd round pick for him. Who the F would trade a 2nd round pick for him?????? Since the only way to get “more then” they gave up, would be to get a higher round compensation….
    3) They just traded a 3rd round pick for him, if you give up that much compensation for a player, and then you dont want him, there is a SERIOUS problem, so who is going to give up anything to get a problem on their roster???
I will give you, that the Vikings are complete morons after this whole thing, but get a grip on reality…..just trade him, yeah, thats it, because the Vikes are allowed to trade after the deadline….

Why is it the hot dog and beer vendors are always the first to know?
Doesn’t Tennessee make the most sense?, if he falls that far .

  24. You all don’t get it. Moss wanted to get away from Childress. Moss noticed in 4 weeks what owner Zygi Wilf hasn’t seen in four years, Childress is a crappy Head Coach. Moss is not a moron, he is a genius.

    Yeah just like Me-O.
He’s such a cancer nobody will gamble more than 1 year on him. Moss’ fate is sealed. His hopes for anything long term are gone.

  26. Once again JimmySmith somehow gets to mention Favre’s cock during this thread. The dude goes to bed thinking about Brett’s cock and wakes up thinking about it. Seriously if someone knows this dude get him some help…..quickly.

  27. I still think its funny how Randy was forced by the league to start participating in interviews or be fined. Remember last week how he was boycotting media? He didnt want to say the wrong thing?
No? Besided the fact that he does draw that safety coverage, it is true… Moss is a decoy. But drawing that safety opens up the field just like it did for Harvin.
My thinking… He only became available after the outburst in NE, Minnesota figured he would what???? Watch his mouth because they wear a different color? Because Lord Favre is there?
Why not let the puppy yap for a year and continue using him as a decoy, tell the younger players that if they want to have a Moss like career, dont take after him… he only got there by ability, not work.

  28. @RichCimini Breaking: The #Jets did not submit a claim for WR Randy Moss or LB Shawne Merriman, according to league source. 21 minutes ago

  29. I believe Seattle has already indicated they want no part of Moss. And if he goes to a team that he views as not being a Super Bowl contender, that team will get the unmotivated version of Randy Moss. I don’t see a lot of upside to that………

  30. Pet peeve: Mixing of choice-types in a poll.
    Seattle/St. Louis/Miami — fine.
    Seahawks/Rams/Dolphins — fine.
Seattle/Rams/Miami — you suck at your job.

  31. He’d just bash the hell out of him for every Rookie he’s gonna make.

Please Rex, let me correct YOU… “…to get their pick back and likely more than what they got for him???
As the Vikings are the team that acquired Moss, it’s not possible for them to have gotten anything “FOR HIM.” njhitman may not be a grammarian, and he may not have a clue about the trade deadline, but at least he’s on the right track…perhaps the Vikes could get more for Moss than they gave up. Please, think before you LMFAO…jackass!

  32. Moss would have won more games for Minnesota than Chill will.
If they end up firing Chilly in the off season, then this move is even worse because they could have canned him, kept Moss and who knows how he would have adjusted with Dungy the 4th coaching.

  33. Saints12, I saw that too, but as far as I am concerned, it is only 1 PM, meaning that in the next 3 hours any team interested could decide to not put in a claim, and any team “not interested”, could decide that they are interested…..after all, making a claim on Moss is just a fax machine away right?

  34. At first I was so vehemently against this move, but the more I hear about things the more I realize this may have actually been damage control. We have already imploded and been the laughing stock of the NFL. Maybe this was a good move. If we can get past the next two games, who knows with Sydney back…

  35. For classless, self-centered, delussional, and highly immature Randy Moss – It makes no difference where you end up, as we’ll be changing the channell the second whatever team you’re playing for comes on TV. Your behavior in the locker room was completely SHAMEFUL.

  36. the thing i find MOST comical about the assault on njhitman for not knowing the trade deadline is this;
almost every retort has picked on his grammar and/or spelling, yet there are grammatical errors in almost every reply. if you’re going to pick on someone’s grammar, make sure yours is correct also. talk about making yourself look really stupid.
not the least of which…please learn the difference between “passed” and “past”.

he was waived officially yesterday, you expect his webmaster to be *that* quick with website updates lol?
I don’t think it’s an FU to the Vikes, it’s just that he WAS on the Vikings. I’m sure it will change when he gets claimed by another team…
