Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams is expected to miss another week of action with a sprained foot after sitting out practice on Thursday, according to Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette.
A moribund Panthers running attack was even worse without Williams last week. Jonathan Stewart was held to 30 yards on 14 carries against St. Louis.
“Did you see any holes?” Stewart said on Monday. “As an offensive unit, we’re just not making enough plays. Point blank.”
The Panthers are 28th in rushing yards-per-game and 31st in yards-per-carry at 3.3. They were second in the league with a 4.8 average last year. Jeff Otah must be really freaking good.
