Percy Harvin practices on injured ankle

After missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a sprained ankle suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots, Vikings receiver Percy Harvin returned to practice on Friday, according to Tom Pelissero of 1500espn.com.

But Pelissero writes that Harvin was limping noticeably during the portion of practice that the media was allowed to watch.

Without Harvin against the Cardinals on Sunday, the Vikings would be forced to rely on receivers like Bernard Berrian, Greg Camarillo, Greg Lewis, and Hank Baskett in the passing game.

In other words, Adrian Peterson had better get a good night’s sleep on Saturday.

How will he ever catch a pass again without Moss’ double teams??

If they can’t beat the God-awful Cards, the should ALL be fired ….

Percy please rest, you and Adrian Peterson are too valuable to sucumb to injury. You two are the only bright spots of this offence. Unless you are healthy enough to go, don’t risk it.

What a solid group of recievers we have. Not even the “Sext Gate 2010″ can save us now.

    CUTTING MOSS = FAIL

  7. mbbrazi says: Nov 5, 2010 2:08 PM

I’ve never seen a team with so many loses receive so much publicity-wouldn’t that be something if they (the Vikings) ran the table?

Greg Camarillo led the NFL last year in catches with no drops. He’s very reliable. The Vikings have underutilized him since he was traded from the Dolphins.

  9. The Pillager says: Nov 5, 2010 2:18 PM

he will still get his – the kid is a beast……all this hoopla but no one is talking about the O-line…with time Favre can find any receiver no matter their name…

they did the same thing with Moss- only difference is Moss said something about it and was cut

    HARVIN = WARRIOR
He’s so much better than Moss in every part of the game and as a human being. True class man and athlete!

  13. HolyMoly says: Nov 5, 2010 2:35 PM

What Randy Moss did after the Patriots game was, in fact, outrageous. Having said that, Childress cutting Moss was even more outrageous. You don’t flush your team’s chances down the toilet just because your star wide receiver did some outrageous things following one football game. Having Randy Moss on the field gave the Vikings a chance at a run. Before Moss, Percy Harvin was completely useless.
    Brad Childress = Epic Fail.

Good God! Enough with the Favre can do anything myth. He’s a tired old man. He won a Super Bowl a decade and a half ago. John Elway, Kurt Warner, Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have all won Super Bowls more recently than the hapless old perv.

  16. ajthevike says: Nov 5, 2010 2:36 PM

absolutely rasales! the current coaching staff of childress and bevell do not have a clue. camarillo has been there for quite some time and they do not know how to use him. moss, yes he is a jerk, but they didnt put in any plays for him to do except run deep. bevell should be gone as well as childress. more disturbing though is fraziers defense. what the heck happened to them? just too much drama this year from farve has distracted the whole team.

I think this is why the Vikings signed Hank Baskett, you know, in case they cut Randy Moss (who somehow ended up on the NFL’s top 100 players but is not worth a roster spot on this year’s Minnesota Vikings) and Percy gets hurt.
I am equally sure that Berrian will start to live up to his $44 million contract and Greg Camariallo will likewise, start to get seperation whereas he could never do that before.
Even if none of that happens, BrINT Favre can fit the ball into very tight spaces so all they need to do is give the appearance that they are open. Should they not be open and it results in an INT, no worries there, after all, BrINT is a gunslinger and enabling behavior requires that we all listen to these excuses as it is justifies his TD to INT ratio and the Vikings 2-5 record. Any significant disagreement means you are not a true Viking fan and the decision to beg him to come out of retirement is not the worse decision the Vikings ever made (or at least until someone makes a trade worse than the Hershel Walker trade, or a 3rd rounder for one player for 4 weeks, take your pick)
Well, I could go on for another week but the point is made, Ziggy must be so proud right about now.

    Arctic Edge….
You must be a pot head like ole Percy No Ankles. Were you roomates in Gainesville? Ha! Percy is a great athlete yes. But True Class Man? Like Charlie Sheen right? You should research the meaning of class.
A warrior… Yes! Because I think he will play this weekend. If he doesnt play. 2-6 it is for the Vikes. AP can’t do it alone. The O-Line is playing poorly, no WR, QB who you dont know what he will break next. And a Defense that could give up 400 yards to a High School team. Good luck without Percy. You’ll need it.

  19. Old School says: Nov 5, 2010 2:47 PM

It’s all a big show. Harvin is learning how to be an attention whore from BrINT. Sunday the announcers will all be saying, “Look at Percy. Isn’t he brave?”
The media bought the fractured ankle BS on BrINT. Orthopedists have said it’s a glorified sprain. Reporters are worse than 10 year old autograph seekers.

Loss to Cardinals = Loss of Chilly’s job.
Wouldnt matter if Harvin’s ankle was held together with crazy glue and popsicle sticks- Chilly’d still force him into the lineup this week.

  21. footballrulz says: Nov 5, 2010 3:08 PM

well Sando–I see you didn;t follow my advice about jumping in the tub with your toaster if the Vikes lost to those banged up Packers…
    sigh

  22. 4thevikings says: Nov 5, 2010 3:11 PM

you guys really are ridiculous! not one of you were cryin and complaing about brINT favre last year when percy and adrian were coughing away a superbowl berth! (2 fumbles apiece) oh and lets not forget about berrians fumble at the 2 yardline going in! but hey ur all right if it wasnt for favre we would be 7-0……

  23. Hauschild says: Nov 5, 2010 3:16 PM

You gotta love the Perc! In the age of candy asses, he’s a throwback like his pappy, Brett.
It’s pretty wild how guys like Harvin and Fitzgerald see the world, as opposed to guys like Moss and Owens.

  24. FlipDaScript says: Nov 5, 2010 4:04 PM

Percy isn’t quite the drama queen that BrINT is but he’s close.
He goes down in a heap like he was shot, then “miraculously” finds a way back into the game.
Kind of like how he only has migraines during the week but on Sundays they magically disappear.

WOW, if i even attempt to read some of the trash that you fools write, my head starts to spin.
Percy is one of the Best in the league and certainly fun to watch….Nothing more needs to be said…….he was successful before moss arrived and will certainly be now…….you all that love to outwardly hate on the Vikings, know damn well you really love them….so obvious….like the girl that pulls your hair in the lunch line at school….total crush and u know it,admit it already

    go cards!!!

If the ankle hurts that bad just smoke some of that good stuff. It’ll numb, you can eat some Doritos, and play on Sunday. And for you Viking fans who believe he’s one of the best in the league, you might want to stop smoking the good stuff. A year and half of football proves nothing. He has trouble staying on the field, is inconsistent, and needs someone else to draw double teams away from him. He has the “potential” to be one of the best but he isn’t there yet.
