Raiders avoid blackout for Chiefs game

For the first time since the 2009 season opener, a Raiders home game won’t be blacked out this weekend.

Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune passes along the good news for Raiders fans, which was largely expected. It’s unclear if the team or a local business purchased the final necessary tickets to lift the blackout.

A win would put the Raiders above .500 and perhaps make sellouts a trend as the Raiders seek their first six-win season and potential playoff berth since 2002.
