Patriots activate Logan Mankins, expected to start vs. Browns

After missing all of the offseason, training camp, the preseason and the regular season, Logan Mankins is finally ready to go for the Patriots.

The team announced today that Mankins has been added to the active roster. After signing his one-year tender offer as a restricted free agent on Tuesday, he had been on a roster exemption for the last four days.

And not only is Mankins active, but the Boston Globe reports that he’s expected to start on Sunday against the Browns. Until sitting out the beginning of the season this year, Mankins had started every single game since the Patriots drafted him.

To make room on the roster for Mankins, the Patriots released cornerback Terrence Wheatley.
