Earlier in the second quarter of a game that the Steelers generally are controlling, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey suffered a lower right leg injury and hobbled off the field.
A first-rounder whom some may regard as a potential candidate for rookie of the year given the manner in which he has stabilized the weakest unit on the team, Pouncey has started every game of the season.
Guard Chris Kemoeatu also has suffered an injury, leaving the Steelers with only five offensive linemen.
The Steelers lead, 10-0. But if Pouncey misses any significant time, it won’t feel like a victory even if they outscore the Bengals.
