Ndamukong Suh will not remain the Lions’ primary kicker.
Instead, the team will bring Dave Rayner aboard to take over for Jason Hanson, according to the Twitter account of Rayner’s agent at ProStar Sports.
Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press expects Hanson to miss 2-3 weeks with a sprained MCL. Hanson’s absence was an underrated factor in Detroit’s overtime loss to the Jets. (Well, not so underrated in Detroit.) The Lions are 0-5 in games decided by eight points or less this year.
