Giants’ Steve Smith leaves practice with pectoral injury

The 6-2 Giants have reeled off five straight wins. But they’ve got injury issues on the offensive line.

They now have an injury question at receiver.

Per Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger, receiver Steve Smith exited practice with a pectoral injury.

“He had trouble driving his arms after the injury so he couldn’t continue,” coach Tom Coughlin said. “But I don’t have anything to tell you about it until they do all the tests.”

Smith has 47 catches for 517 yards and three touchdowns. Last year, he racked up 107 receptions for 1,220 yards and seven scores.

The top wideout on the team is Hakeem Nicks, who have 51 receptions for 653 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Giants host the Cowboys on Sunday. New York has beaten Dallas five out of six times.
