Jaguars hold their breath after Aaron Kampman injury

Aaron Kampman has proven to be everything the Jaguars hoped for when they signed him from Green Bay, which is why the team has to be worried after he was injured at Thursday’s practice.

Kampman underwent an MRI Thursday night with “what might be a serious” injury, according to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union. Kampman was coming off a torn ACL in his left knee; this injury was to the right knee.

Defensive tackle Tyson Alualu also hurt his knee at practice Wednesday and sat out Thursday’s session, although that injury doesn’t sound as gloomy as Kampman’s problem. The Jaguars have been rather healthy on the whole this year.

“Quite frankly, I’m very happy we haven’t had super-significant injuries for the most part,” Kampman said during the bye week. “We lost [right tackle] Eben Britton, but I don’t think we’ve lost any other starter. That’s a big part of it. If we can keep ourselves healthy, I think that will help.”
