The Dolphins won’t have to choose between Chad Pennington and Chad Henne for the rest of the season; they both aren’t expected to play again.
Mike Berardino and Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel report that Pennington and Henne are expected to miss the rest of the season. Jay Glazer of FOX reports that Pennington has a dislocated shoulder, the fourth serious shoulder injury of his career.
Henne left the stadium on crutches and was headed to undergo an MRI. His kneecap bent forward in ugly fashion on the play that took him out. While one source of the Sentinel’s expects Henne to miss the rest of the season, the other source wasn’t as sure.
Tyler Thigpen will take over as the starter for the 5-4 Dolphins; Miami has started to search for a possible backup for Thursday’s game.
