Jaguars claim Jason Hill

Waived by San Francisco on Tuesday, wide receiver Jason Hill has landed on his feet in Jacksonville.

A league source tells PFT that the Jaguars claimed the fourth-year wide receiver.

Hill’s best season with the 49ers was 2008, when he had 30 catches. He’s a speed receiver that struggled to stay on the field in San Francisco, especially after Mike Singletary took over.

Who is this guy and why go claim a WR? With Kampman gone for the season, the Jaguars will be lucky to get close enough to throw dirt on an opposing QB let alone knock one on his butt. I think they should be searching for an available stop gap option at DE rather than picking up someone else’s garbage at wideout. But what do I know? At least we still have D. Harvey, right?
